| Objective: To investigate the mechanism of Zhu Huang Granule-II in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris and to observe its effects on Chemokine IL-8 and RANTES.Method: 60 suffers involed were divided into two groups, treated group (n=30) and control group(n=30) at random. The patients in treated group were treated with Zhu Huang Granule-II (ZHG-II), which in control group were treated with Yingxueling chong ji . The level of IL-8 and RANTES were detected by ELISA, both in sera and lesion samples, before and after treatment.10 healthy persons were tested also, acting as normal compare group. Psoriasis area and severity index(PAIS)and dermatosis quality of life statistical forms (DQOLS) were evaluated before and after treatment.Results: 1. The level of IL-8 in sera and leision samples after treatment were lower than that of before treatment (P<0. 05). Treatment group was better than control group (P<0. 05). 2. The level of RANTES in sera and leision samples after treatment were lower than that of before treatment(P<0.05). Treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05). 3. PAIS index reduced(P<0.05). 4. DQOLS index reduced (P<0. 05).Conclusion: It was suggested from the results that ZHG-II Zhu could reduce the level of IL-8 and RANTES both in sera and lesion samples. So that it can improve suffers' clinical symptoms and living quality. |
