Literary thought of Yangzhou school is stated in this thesis mainly as research object. Based on the interrelation between studying scholarship and literature, choosing the period from Qianlong to Daoguang as historical background, typical statement developed by Wang Zhong, Ling Tingkan, Jiao Xun, Ruan Yuan, ect., in literary ideological field is analyzed in depth and detailedly, and logic composition and cultural connotation of literary thought of Yangzhou school can be shown.This dissertation is composed of five chapters as follows:Research status and existing problem of the subject are stated in the introduction, as well as research method and proposed solved issues of this thesis.The first chapter resolves two problems mainly:one is to study and systemize the academic information of Pu Xue in Qing Dynasty and Yangzhou School; the other one is to understand and dispose the relationship of culture and scholarship, culture and theory, as well as culture and principles through researching Yangzhou School, and also to show unique feature of their literary conception.In the second chapter, the conception of literature history of Yangzhou School is mainly described as research object. Cultural basis and theory composition of the conception of literature history of Yangzhou School are summarized as'one outline and three items'. And also, the formation of Jiao Xun's theory, which states that every generation has the corresponding feature, is probed mainly, as well as cultural spirit and connotation implied in the topic.The third chapter focuses on literary creation conception that Disposition Conception is regarded as the core in Yangzhou School. Based on the description of'Life' theory, 'Disposition Conception' of Yangzhou School is derived. However, in the process of nearly the same academic understanding, the differentiation between'Disposition Conception'and'the soul said' arises, which reflects in the view od Ruan Yuan and Jiao Xun mainly.'Nature Conception' of Ruan Yuan advocates 'positive disposition', and emphasis on normative of the nature. But'the soul said' of Jiao Xun stands for 'the disposition of the individual', focusing on promoting the uniqueness of the nature.The forth chapter researches Parallel prose conception of Yangzhou School. Yangzhou school has strong stylistic awareness, especially performing the esteem of Parallel Prose. Wang Zhong, Ling Ting Kan and Ruan Yuan make many comments about the said subject. Through analyzing'Pian San Jian Lun' of Wang Zhong,'Pian wen zheng bian theory'of Ling Tingkan and'Writing Identification' of Ruan Yuan in depth, the status and cultural spirit of Parallel Probe in Yangzhou School is shown.In the fifth chapter, the limitation and status of literary thought of Yangzhou School is evaluated generally. Academic intervention makes that literary thought of Yangzhou School has been extended in many aspects of content and connotation, but also has been restricted and blocked in the other aspects. Through comparing unique style, theoretical value, and unique cultural implication of literature thought of Yangzhou School, their status in the literary history is evaluated properly.
