Security study has always been the core concerns in International Politics. Recently security issue of East Asia is concentrated more and more. Study on Japan's perspective of security refers to research on traditional security and non-traditional security, which is very important for both deepening study on international politics theory and strengthening the understanding of regional security situation in East Asia. Before Second World War, Japan adhered to militarism and plundered other countries savagely. In the 1970s, Japan came up with comprehensive security concept and tried to use it into the perspectives of foreign affairs, which made it be the country which focused on nontraditional security much earlier. After Cold War, Japan tried to break through Pacifist Constitution and expedited force modernization but, at the same time, Japan is the country which expressed greatest interest on Human Security in the perspective of foreign affairs. During more than sixty years since the Second World War, Japan had so many typical perspectives of security and experienced great changes on it.Why could militarism perspective of security dominate Japan's society before Second World War? How did Japan transform its perspective of security after Second World War? How to understand Comprehensive Security and Human Security's status and influence in Japan's perspective of security? Author has great interest in it and tries to study it based on historical analysis and structural analysis. The thesis describes how Japan's perspective of security changed after Second World War and analyzed the historical tradition that shaped Japan's perspective of security. It summarizes the main component and specialty of each perspective of security and clarifies the main principle clues of Japan's changes on perspective of security. It also interprets how to construct the perspective of security in each historical period. The historical period is separated by changes of Japan's perspective of security. The period after second World War is divided into 3 phrases: end of Second World War to 1960s,1970s and 1980s, and the period after Cold War. The thesis division is constructed on these historical periods. When studying how to form the perspective of security in each historical period, the thesis uses Copenhagen School's comprehension on internal logic of security research to establish the concepts on perspective of security and construct the content on security study in each chapter based on inscapes in the perspective of security.Epilogue part summarizes how Japan's Prime Minister, political parties, common people and media play roles in the processes of that national perspective of security comes into being. And, with time gone, these factors for shaping Japan's national perspective of security will be reference object and provide analysis basis to analyze the development of Japan's perspective of security in the future.
