With the development of globalization, the language communication environment is becoming diversified, it broke the single language communication mode of our country, and the language education has had formed theenormous impact. In such circumstances, people must learn to meet different environmental communication environment. And it puts forward higher demands on our language education. Under the trend of globalization, we should not only protect native consciousness, but to actively respond to the strong penetration, reasonable English language and develop appropriate education strategy formulation. Therefore, the rational realistically education is the urgent language of necessity. At present, under the traditional education concept, teaching method, teaching contents and other out-of-dated factors, the foreign language teaching can not adapt to the requirements of the times, can not very well bear endowed historic mission for the society, to develop strong ability of cross-cultural communication. An important feature of English teaching is to make the students to learn experience and direct experience in language.language use as many as possible from different channels and in different forms, So, in English teaching, the teachers not only need use reasonable textbooks, still should actively utilize other curriculum resources.Music is "the second language of mankind", it can convey information, express feelings and it can be used as bridges to connect between man and man, man and nature. Since the early date of human civilization, music has become indispensable way to communicate with each other. Meanwhile, music is a kind of special language,too, it is more contagious than general languages, because it can be used as envoys to break through national and regional boundaries to express freely the ideas and requirements of the both sides, it is a kind of emotional symbol, a kind passionate speech whcih can cause people's hearts throb and can make people minds moved.Music and languages have the similar ways in their expressions of the meanings and and some other ways.Both their material appearances and their sounds strutures are similar,too. They enjoy the same physiological organs of pronunciation,and share the same pitch, duration, rhythm and something of such physical factors.They changes according to a particular phonetic system and grammatical rules of a language, or vary according to pitch, duration of change, or change to the different melody structure that constitute music. And the same is true to the music tones and language tones which both of them have a quantifiable phonetic gauges to measure. It is feasible and reasonable for music to be put into language teaching in the context of cross-cultural communication, the foreign songs will not only make the languages learning interesting and easily, but also make the way of the music education in languages learning more realistic.Foreign Language songs have their unique advantages In its eucational content and it has great linguistic value. Most of the songs are in accordance with a kind of regular, rhyming, repetitive poetic form, and it has a series of narrative features,it's catchy,too. The melody of language features are exaggerated, and many languages have a very strong rhythm, therefore, the use of songs in language education, can train students in the language sense and it's very helpful. If a song are learned, after which the grammatical structure, vocabulary, and even the sentence will be remained in students' memory as long as the melody to remain in the memory of the students. According to the teaching requirements, songs can be used to assist in various aspects of teaching, such as vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar and so on. Some of the popular songs that allow students more access to informal spoken language. Many studies have shown that the songs are the linguistic sources which students are easy to accquire, and students are willing to get outside the classroom, but also many students use the songs to express their emotions and therefore it contributes most to students languages learning motivation, it can stimulate enthusiasm for learning,too. Songs in foreign languages can also promote the language and cultural teaching. Songs often reflect the aspirations of a nation, people's emotions, can show different eras, different geographical and cultural style. Some say the song itself contains different styles of the rich cultural and historical heritage, the content of their songs are all marked by the deep imprint of the era and culture. A large number of cultural treasures can be excavated through the teaching of the foreign language songs. However, despite the song has such a remarkable linguistic value, but how the foreign language songs are scientificly and rationally used in the practice of foreign language teaching remains lots of problems to be solved. This study analyzes the Chinese language education in the United States in the use of teaching cases of Chinese folk songs, summed up the successful experience and guidance on these experiences, the purposes of analysis of foreign language teaching is to show how to use foreign songs in foreign languagesteaching in China. The article demonstrates not only in theory, but also from the practice a detailed response of the ways of foreign songs teaching and appreciation,and the author tries to be able to effectively show the way of improving the quality of foreign language teaching, so that songs in foreign languages can be rationally used both into foreign language teaching and in cross-cultural exchanges to achieve the purpose of the effective means of foreign languages teaching in China.The study is divided into nine chapters, the following key elements:The first chapter, Introduction, general description of the significance of this research, ideas and methods outlined in this study, age and educational background, current research status review, summarizing the results of research and inadequateThe second chapter, the theoretical basis of this study to define the scope of this study and the main concepts, including culture, communication, intercultural communication, intercultural education, and folk songs; this study, constructivist theory, theory of second language acquisition, cross-Education theory, psychological characteristics of students, cognitive psychology and language skills and communicative competence theory.The third chapter, the status of foreign language teaching and challenges. In cross-cultural background, the challenges facing foreign language teaching in China is mainly the concept of personnel training and language teaching need to change the guiding theory needs to be updated. Overall, the low effectiveness of foreign language teaching, most teachers are not from the traditional teaching model coming out of teaching content is difficult to arouse the interest of students, and students learning English are not effective, cross-cultural awareness and interpersonal skills is weak.Chapterâ…£, Problems of Foreign Language Teaching Analysis. This chapter from the perspective of foreign language teaching in foreign language teaching the causes, including teaching the concept of bias, errors in the choice of teaching content, teaching methods, outdated teaching strategies unreasonable lack of language environment, the lack of communication and cultural reasons such a serious shortage of teaching; from the perspective of cross-cultural foreign language teaching the causes, including differences between different cultural factors, lack of knowledge and understanding directly to the Chinese way of thinking, and transplanted to the English expression differences between western values and so on.
