With the advent of the information era in the 21st century, the information has transformed people's living comprehensively. Because of the unceasing quickness of the knowledge creation, the knowledge itself, as well as the information, has become the primary resources of the social development. Then the information industry is becoming the dominant industry of national economy, while more and more knowledge is entering into the product. Due to the continuous development of information technology and the widespread of the internet, it promotes the development of the economy, politics, culture and social welfare, so does the social executing efficiency. At one and the same time, the virtual practice, as a brand-new practical mean, has also changed people's means of production, lifestyle, thinking methods and value ideas, leading to improve the development of human being. The development of information technology is also a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it can greatly facilitate the development of economic society and human being. On the other hand, it engenders the problems, such as the vulgar network culture, the digital divide and the network addiction, all of which pose some new challenges to us. Therefore, we need to apply the basic theories, ideas and methods of Marxism, to study the mutual relations of the information technology, the internet and the economic society, to lucubrate the multiple influences on the development of economic society by the information technology and the internet, and to promote the sound development of the information technology, the internet and the economic society.In order to elaborate the social development in the information era comprehensively, this dissertation has seven principal chapters. From the perspective of information and the information era, the author analyzes the economic development, political development, cultural development, development of social welfare and of human being respectively, proposes some recommendations and makes the prediction to the development and management of the internet.Chapter one studies the definition and characteristics of the information, as well as the formation and features of the information era. The information, as the basic unit in the information era, is defined, and that of features is elaborated further. In order to discuss how the information era comes into being and to analyze the influence of social development made by the information era, the author introduces some theories of Marxism briefly, mainly including the social base, the social motivation, the social standard and the social formation. Therefore, under the guide of these theories, the author explores the emergence of the information era, and elaborates the influence of social development made by the information technology. Under the information technology, the author deals with its complicated influence to social development.Chapter two focuses on the economic development in the information era. Based on the new features of the economic development in the background of the information era, the author centers his attention on the economic globalization affected by the e-commerce, a newly commercial form, and on the contemporary economic development deeply influenced by the scientific and technological innovation. Under the influence of the information era, the macro and micro economic development is discussed respectively. As for the macro economic development in the information era, the author studies the financial derivatives by analyzing the financial development. With regard to the macro economic development in the information era, the enterprise, a micro economic subject, is started with. And further explanatory work is done by sorting out the enterprise management, the enterprise supply chain and the trend of the enterprise development.Chapter three concerns about the economic development in the information era. The author,to start with, studies the relationship between the internet and the political democracy, and points out the direct influence made by the internet to the democracy, such as the development of the democratic transmissive way, the wide democratic participation by the citizen, and the transformation of social structure. In order to discuss the effects of the democratic and political development in the information era, the author seeks to analyze the development of the network media and entails the emergence of the e-government. What is more,the influence on the democratic and political development is analyzed by the network media and the e-government. In addition, the author talks about the internet and the government management. The author also thinks about how to develop the network media in China soundly, how to apply the internet to influence the public viably, and so on.Chapter four discusses the cultural development in information era. In the first place, the author explores that the internet has a great impact on the Chinese traditional culture and Marxism development in China, through examining the fierce competition of cultural soft power contributed by the internet. In the second place, the network culture, combining by the internet and the culture, is introduced. Later, the author describes the features of the network culture, and distinguishes it from the realistic culture. In the third place, the developmental trend of the network culture is expounded, especially from the prevalence of the network language and the emergence of grass-rooted culture .Chapter five is about the social welfare in the information era. The author, to begin with, explores how the information technology affects the development of social welfare from different aspects, like the informationization of social welfare and its features, its function, its meaning and its developmental trend. What is more, the author expounds, in depth, the developmental issues in the information era, concerning about the medical treatment and education in light of its close relationship with people's daily life.Chapter six illuminates the development of human being in the information era. For one thing, the author analyses virtuality and virtual practice, and points out the significance of information technology and the internet to meet the needs of human being, to accomplish the competent development of human being, to perfect social relationship and to promote free development of personality. For another, some recommendations and suggestions are provided to the problems of internet addiction and that of information selection.Chapter seven concentrates on the internet management in the information era. Through analyzing the developmental process from WEB1.0 to 3.0, the author puts forward the development form of the internet and the trend of polarization brought by the internet. The management mode of the internet is discussed from the aspects of the management way, the legal system and the morality. The author, by the specific cases, weighs the pros and cons of the network identification system, as well as its influence and tendency.
