A Study Of Culture Power And Its Evaluations Under The Retrenchment Of Contemporary Geographical Environment

In cope with the retrenchment of mankind-and-nature-coexisted geographical environ-ment, this research sets its foundation on the geographical environment from which culture and culture power developed. It unveils "the inherent laws of culture and culture power", respectively:1) the imbalance law of culture and culture power development,2) the basic law that cultural relations shall adapt to the development status of culture power,3) the balance law of dynamic culture power increase.In order to evaluate "the inherent laws of culture and culture power", this study is committed to create the index system of culture power and related industries. Firstly, it defines the evaluation range of the inner layer, the external layer, and the related layer of culture and culture power. Secondly, it classifies the value indicators, physical indicators and comparative indicators. Thirdly, it designed a complete set of index system, formula, and accounting methods. Lastly, it created the "comprehensive index of cultural power" and the evaluation index model.On the basic of enumerating the localized cultural characteristics of the country and its 15 cities, the author made an empirical study of Shenzhen, a city which has significant contribution to culture power activities. It provided substantial data from macro and micro angles and by the means of spatial-temporal differentiation solution, and further verified the existence of "the inherent laws of culture and culture power" by analyzing each element of culture power.In contrast to the past research which confined to the spiritual effects of culture power, this study is a breakthrough innovation by highlighting its economical significance. On the basis of the performance of culture power under the Retrenchment of Contemporary Geo-graphical Environment, it proposed to create "the third developing geographical space" by converting the soft power of culture into the concrete economical power, and provided a powerful support of cultural soft power for sustainable development of low carbon eco-nomics.
