Subjective Well-being(SWB) is an important comprehensive psychological index to measure the mass of people's life satisfaction, a humanism theory in contemporary , and also the most noticeable field in the positive psychology. This research is in terms of native psychology , combining theoretical research, relevant research and experimental research, to constitute the Adolescent' frame and development characteristics of SWB and its relationship with five big personalities as well as the mechanism which personality influence SWB it carries on a comparatively overall discussion. Preliminarily, it has constructed the model of Adolescent SWB and its relevant factors. This dissertation consists of five parts.Part one is the introduction recommending the theory background and research intension of this dissertation to be conceived. A review is made on the history and field of SWB, and the relationship between personality and SWB and the development and measurement problems of Adolescent' SWB as well .The theoretical framework and methodology of the dissertation are subsequently brought forth.Part two deals with the establishment of the scale of Adolescent Students SWB. Based on the scale worked out by Huebner(1994), questionnaire of Chinese Adolescent life satisfaction was constructed. 1045 coastal and inland adolescents in China were tested the result of EFA and CFA indicates that the life satisfaction of adolescent is a two-stage-six-factor model, which is made up of four general factors-family, friends school and environment, which are included in Huebner's scales, and two distinctive factors-freedom and achievement, which lie in Chinese adolescent students. The result of factor analysis indicates that the scale of Chinese Adolescent life satisfaction has good reliability and validity.Part three does an empirical study on adolescent students' SWB with self-edited scales focusing on the relationships among demography variable, big five personality and SWB. It shows that there is marked age difference in whole life satisfaction, achievement, environment and family. Besides satisfaction at the school, basically, it is university students that are higher than middle school students, the junior school students higher than a high school students. On friendship, freedom and negative emotion, three factors, grade and familylocation have significant interactional effect and grade, family location and family economic situation on positive emotion. As far as the relationship big five personality and SWB, extraversion and neuroticism are related to SWB for all the three grades .Three other major dimensions of personality, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness to experience had different relationships hi different ages. The personality traits was found to serve as the intermediary in which demography variable influences happiness, and the binding of personality and demography variable strengthens the prediction of SWB.Part four does an experimental research about the relationships between personality social comparison and happiness. It is an exploration of the possible cognitive mechanism through which the personality traits influence SWB. Three experimental researches was conducted. In ability comparison, relation comparison and life adjustable background in order to probe into the relationships among personality, social comparison and SWB.Studies have shown that the relationship among personality , social comparison and SWB vary with the domain and time compared. In the field of ability comparison, social comparison serves as the intermediary hi which the traits of both extraversion and neuroticism influence the happiness, hi relation comparative field, no matter whether the comparative object is a good friend or a rival, the main effect of personality and comparative direction are significant, but the interaction effect between personality and social comparison is not obvious, hi the life adjustable field, no matter whether the comparative object is at one's own stage or at a more advanced stage, the main...
