The title of this paper is Rural Areas Native Place Homeland Wasteland-to Analyze the Imaginations of the Village of the Chinese Modern Writers. It consists of five parts, such as the Introduction, Rural Areas, Native Place, Homeland, Wasteland, and the main contents of every part is as the following:The Introduction shows the research problem, of which there was some pragmatic ambiguity between the word of rural areas and native place, through differentiating the relations between the native-place literature and the countryside novel, the basic theme category of the history of Chinese modern literature. Obviously, the anxiety caused by the ambiguous using influenced the in-depth research. In recent years, some scholars had realized this problem. They tried to put forward a springier concept to include the two words. I think Village is a more ideal and suitable concept. So the arising of this concept consists of the elementary logic layer, and on this basis I think there are two other patterns, Homeland and Wasteland, to express the village, including the former two. They directly refer to the spirit of people. So as four different literature patterns, the four concepts should be not looked as the same accomplished facts, but to some extent, the imaginary things which included the special meaning and valuable judging of the writers. In other words, they can act as four narrative styles and imaginary forms, which are not fully same. The imagination convinced by this paper, which acts as a kind of pattern to show or give the literature narrative, includes the choices and the reorganization to the narration object. On the other side, it also shows the writers' different choices of their narrative styles. So the four different literature sceneries, which are in the basis of the village, are four different imaginary forms, which include the subjected connotations and objected ones. They are also the imagination to the Chinese villages in the literature. With the foundation of the former analysis, the second part of the Introduction gives a brief narrative to the specific conducts of each imagination pattern, and gets some basic rules. In a whole, the Native -place Literature is full of romantic mood in the realism; the Countryside Novels are basically belong to the revolution realism; the Homeland imagination encourages the enthusiasm and emotions romantically; and the Wasteland imagination shows the qualities of modernism and postmodernism. The first dominant theme of Chinese modern literature was the Countryside Novel. I think its forming was degenerated from Native-place Literature, and the main cause is because of the entering of Other which embodies the three facts, such as politic ideology, social economics and the culture. From then on, the former moral principles according to the blood relation and the local relation were replaced by a new class relation; and the new economic style caused by the new mode of production put large impact to people's mental and made them depressed and anxious. In fact, a kind of newideology also changes the former structure of the relation between the people. In a word, the entering of Other changed the villages from the old stable local village to the rural ones which was experiencing changing and reorganization. The class struggle and the everyday lives, which replaced and covered by each other, are the two basic social sceneries in the countryside theme novels of Seventeen Years. In this part the author chooses The Bright Sky and The Golden Road, which was written by Hao Ran before and in the Culture Revolution, to show the relationships between the class struggles and everyday lives. The common plot of the countryside theme novels is the acts of which the outsiders went down to the villages. It had become a kind of narrative pattern. The outsiders always are the leading cadres, the soldiers and the wanders who returned home. 1 think the chief motive behind the pattern showed the entering of the power utterance, such as the lawful demonstration, the impl...
