The aims of the full text are : to indicate that the classical , historical, philosophic , literary and mythological text contents of Huai Nan Zi that were based on the culture of the pre-Qin times and the early years of the Han Dynasty and formed the spirit of containing various schools of thought require us to understand and experience their genuine meaning in cultural structure with historical and logical manner . The cultural ideology characteristic of Huai Nan Zi--political nature , practicality , aesthetic conceptions and conformity etc evenmore demand us to appraise their superior and limitation with the priciple of historical materialism .
