The Orthodox Church is the main factor of Russian religious culture, Russian literature being naturally and inherently associated with religion. Therefore, to discuss Russian literature models, which are shaped in the context of Russian national Orthodox culture, is the focus of the current study of Russian literature home and abroad.Seen from the relationship between the culture of the Orthodox Church and Russian literature, on the one hand, the spirit of the Orthodox Church influences the formation and development of Russian literature, has decisive effect on literary themes and models, ways of thinking and spiritual discovery of writers, on the other hand, Russian writers and plentiful literary works provide subjects with much depth and width for the philosophy of the Orthodox Church, develop religious moral thought system through art creation, deepen and broaden the spiritual value of The Orthodox Church, and embody particular Russian moral ideals. Furthermore, the Russian intellects treat their own creation in a religious attitude and regard it as a salvation mission.The dissertation, starting from the view of the culture of The Orthodox Church, with detailed analysis of the texts, displays general features of Russian literature in eyes of the Orthodox Church from three aspects: the concepts of The Orthodox Church in Russian literature, the tradition of hagiology and notion of devil It opens out the nature, connotation and particular culture value of Russian literature as literature of high-class in the world.
