China is now on the process of social transition which begins from institution transformation. People's viewpoints of values are changing as the result of social transition: the traditional moral standards of life have lost its power in guiding social life, and many people have trouble in a pluralism society. When people reflect on the moral issues, moral education is expected to shoulder its responsibility. Yet the fact is that moral education today is in trouble itself. Facing the trouble in moral education, some innerr features should be cared, while we also have to think about the institution of moral education.The institution is a compulsory rule system that adjusts the relationship between people and that between man and society by restricting people's behaviors. The institution has the characteristic of compulsory, group, stability, certainty, abstract and contradiction. Justice is the basic virtue of institution, which reflects the humana value of institution to humanity. As the school is an institutional existence, and moral education is an institutional activity that cultivates human morality quality, there is clearly some relevance between "Institution" and "the moral education", which lays foundation for "the institution moral education". In accordance with Moral Education Sociology and Institution Ethics, we can say that moral education is the institutional school education, school institutions have moral enlightenment values, and the institution and moral education contain the basic value of raising people's moral character. Based on the realities in today's school, it can be a reasonable way of going out the current moral education difficulties by innovating the moral education institution and restricting moral education by moral institutions. Therefore, the establishment of the institution moral education has its rational and realistic needs. According to the intrinsic connection of the institution and moral education as well as the theoretical and realistic reason mentioned above, the thesis establishes the basic idea of the institution moral education: We should carry out moral education obeying reasonable institutions for the current times and foster individual morality with institution morality and cultivate the moral character of justice, subjective and harmonious virtue.The institution is a resource of moral education. As a cultural phenomenon, the institution is the value existence of human being in terms of philosophy. Based on institution ethics, the institution, which reflects the ethics spirit of its times, has moral enlightening values, supports the fulfillment of moral education, and cares about man's moral development.
