The dissertation discusses some issues with respect to Sun Yuanxiang's poems in 5 sections.Chapter I and Chapt.Π are the bases of the article,with introductions of Sun Yuanxiang's home,life,the developments of the ideas and the poems of the times Sun Yuanxiang lived,all kinds of situations about the South of Chia and Chang Shu County.All of these had important influences on Sun Yuanxiang and his poems.ChapIII discusses Sun Yuanxiang's ideas and his views on poem . His ideas are consistent to those of others of that times.He was against the stale expressions of the rationalistic Confucian philosophical school during Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.He combined the reason and the object,and said that the reason could be recognized.He was so courageous that he asserted the existence of love and eroticism and regarded them as reasonable.In views on poem,he thought the poet's true sentiment is the core of the poem,which was consistent to Yuan Mei's view.However,Sun Yuanxiang made some supplements to Yuan Mei in some aspects.Chap.IV discusses the origin of Sun Yuanxiang's poems,focusing on his absorption and learning from shijing,and the poems of Qu Yuan,Tao Yuanming,Li Bai,Du Fu ,Shao Yong and Yuan Mei;and in combination of this characteristics and life experience,the study demonstrates the reason and course that his poems inherits the significance of others and still become distinctive.Sun Yuanxiang learned the general idea of shijing;the sentimentality of Qu Yuan;the thoughtful style of Hanfu;the ancient,plain feature of YueFu and GuShi;the fresh,simple and original style of the folk rhyme;the naturalism of Tao Yuanming;the bold,unconstrained and elegant feature of Li Bai;the initiative of Du Fu;the ingenious and interesting style of Yuan Mei. Then he combined what he learned from others and his own situations well and his poem writing became distinctive.Chap. V discusses the content of his poems,analyzing his poems on eroticism,affection,season,travelling and painting.His erotic poems are full of so much emotional sigh that they are moving and touching.The affectionate poems demonstrate mainly his sincerity on love ,relative and friendship.His season poems reflect his love of the life and his acute sense on the changes of season.One of the...
