Lu & Wang's theory of Mind, a philosophy school opposite to Cheng & Zhu's Li-Confucianism, is no doubts one of focuses in philosophy field. The emergence of the Yi in Lu Jiu-yuan and Wang Shou-ren ideology of Mind was accompanied with the characteristics of time. This can be called a great change since the establishment of Wang Bi's metaphysical Yi-ology (in the Wei and Jin dynasties) in the history of the Yi philosophy. For one thing, he was the best among the disciples; for another, it is believed that he have been regarded as the head to spoil Lu' Study. Whatsoever, Yang Jian did much in the spread and transmission of Lu's theory. Lu Jiu-yuan, the founder of the heart-ology and Wang Shou-ren, the greatest representative of the mind theory, have no special books on Yi. Yang Jian 's Yi-ology is the most fundamental and collective embodiment of the Yi-ology from the heart-ology transmitted from Lu Jiu-yuan of the Song Dynasty.The dissertation begins with a brief presentation on the background and course of Yang Jian's spiritual growth and the development of his ideology, and further analysize his philosophy, since formulation of thoughts is closely linked with life experience and the formation of personality. Yang Jian was good at meditation and he attached great importance to comprehension. He begins from savouring the universe and human being's life to experience the unity of things and the self by introspection and comprehension. If Lu's Mind begins with ethical and moral connotation, Yang's emphasizes the universal and noumenal meaning of the Mind and the natural occurrence of clarity Mind. Yang accepts Lu's thought on the Mind by his own enlightenment over the Mind, realizing that the getting of the sense of right or wrong means the formation of Mind or the moral connonation of the Mind, and thus finishes the syncretic unity by both subjective spirit and moral ambit.Through his effort, his ideology of Mind is developed and refined gradually and is brought toward fulfillment. Finally he just includes everything in the Mind of the noumenon. Hence, he has thoroughly established his theoretical system of the ideology of Mind.Zhouyi is one of the origins of Yang Jian's ideology on Mind. Yang Jian interprets Yi by his Mind theory to seek classical basis for the establishment and opening up of his Mind theoretical system.
