The program "Half the Sky", a powerful medium in an advantageous position of CCTV 1, holds a more critical political status than other women media and thus is of more value for academic research. However, the up-to-now research has not yet systmatically sutdied this program and therefore leaves a great blank. The domestic women TV represented by "Half the Sky" have developed for ten years. Seen from the angle of form, they are mainly topical programs and talk shows. There are also some new forms of programs, such as programs of fashion information and game entertainment. Considering TV being a highly artistic and operative medium, this thesis attempts to start with the narrative study and make a deep ideological analysis on the basis of the relatively objective narrative study so as to ensure the impartiality and integrality of the study and preserve its feminist color.This thesis develops in two aspects: 1)taking the morphological examination and the study on narrative characteristics as its two basic points, it deals generally with the main morphological characteristics and the concrete narrative methods on the basis of a close text-reading; 2)Assisted by feminism theory , it goes deep into the typical phenomenan already discoverd by the foregoing morphological examination and the study of narratological characteristics and finds out the cultural symbolic tokens and the feminist meanings behind them.The thesis consists of six chapters.
