In this thesis, the object for investigation is the Palace Poems of Wang Jian during Tang Dynasty, the author is trying to make a thorough investigation on the text that is consists of almost one hundred septa-syllabic quatrain. Firstly, the paper reviews the academic history , makes a further analysis and discussion on the proposition conceived in it. By way of summing up the other scholars' studies, the author feels that most of concerning studies so far concentrate on the study of Wang Jian' s life , contrasting with neglecting the annotation based on the text., then, it is necessary that the study should concentrate on the explanation of the text. Because the Palace Poems of Wang Jian is the mainly representative works of the poet, so, in order to correct the false interpretation and acquire the afresh understanding, the author thinks it is very important to adopt a new approach towards this works. Considering the more and more developed concerning disciplines, such as archaeology, the unique academic value of the Palace Poems of Wang Jian is also lied in acting as the core text that can restore the Tang Dynasty court culture.In this paper, the author explores the new method called Wen Shi Hu Zheng , which the literature and the history can testify each other to a certain extent. In this course, literature and history can offer different angle for our study, one hand , through the investigating of history, we can verify things mentioned in the literature works, such as poems. On the other hand, only by investigating the literature, we can comprehend the social trend and social system existed vividly in the literature works. In that the study object is the Tang Dynasty court culture consisted in Chang'an, the epitaph unearthed in this area and other archaeological discoveries, such as fresco or some new materials in the other ways, make it possible that we can get the correct explanation on the poets.The thesis is composed of two volumes, the first volume and the second volume. In the first volume, the main content is the interpretation of the every single poet of the Palace Poems of Wang Jian by the list. There are so many textual error brought in the circulations, and there are so many interpretations based on the different versions and editions, the readers usually confused about it., so, in the first volume, the authorselects the Shi Jia Gong Ci( 《十家宫词》) as the original version, collecting and comparing with the other typical five versions, in the same time, this part also collect the odd variations in difference editions during the Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty. After listing the explanations of the previous scholars about the Palace Poems of Wang Jian , the author makes a through inquire into the things and literary allusions mentioned in it. Besides that, the author also makes contrast between the works model on the Palace Poems of Wang Jian during the later ages with the original poems wrote by Wang Jian, in this way, this paper portrays the course of the significant influence exerted by the Palace Poems of Wang Jian, and also points out the concerning misread contrasted with better understanding.The main themes of second volume in the thesis almost comes from the first volume. In chapter one, the author finds out it is in the two years from 827 AD to 828 AD that Wang Jian had completed the Palace Poems. In chapter two, the investigation of relations between Wang Jian and Wang Shoucheng during Tang Dynasty, the paper offers the background , time, form, and significance of the two persons' social intercourse, also offers the reason that makes the two friends became estranged. In the chapter three, the author regards the Palace Poems of Wang Jian as a kind of creative literary form, and explains that the artistic value of it was determined by the circumstances the poet had possessed. In chapter four, the author makes a hypothesis that the huge sea-turtle concept was deeply rooted in Wu Hou's mind, this ingrained idea determined the actions and social life of Wu Hou, such as the construe of Da Ming Palace, and so on. The chapter five makes a survey on the Shesheng army during the Tang Dynasty, finds out the beginning and end of this army, and also finds it is very interesting that in the palace the people usually act a role other than one's own in the court games. In chapter six, This paper also offers a comprehensive investigation of the concerning versions of the Palace Poems of Wang Jian , and , based on comparison, it outlines the spread course of the versions mentioned above.
