There is the village idealization tendency in Chinese movies. This article mainly carries on to this phenomenon, analyzing the social,cultural and historical resource of this phenomenon. Village idealized writing is a kind of cultural imagination of intellectuals, determined or unconscious reconsideration and critique to modernity. The village idealized construction displays the different characteristics from founding of the nation till now, for the influences of the times,the social ideologies, the changes of intellectual social positions, the audiences and so on. In this article I will analyze all these characteristics according to their process of development and change. When discussing this question, I will inquire into the interaction relations between the social historical environments, the cultural ideological trend and the movie texts in a method of close reading.This article is divided four chapters. In the first chapter I will mainly introduce the situation of present research,the research significance,the study limits on the subjects as well as the research scope and the mentality about this topic. I also plan to find the resource of countryside ideal in Chinese ancient literature and review poetic descriptions to the countryside in Chinese early movies. In the second chapter I will explore the countryside ideal emerging from creations of countryside movies during the Period of 17 Years in the social cultural ideological trends of that time. It appears some conjunction with the official ideology and the characteristic blending with the socialism ideal/communist ideal in countryside ideal because it has not formed some certain independency in movie creations of that period of time. In the third chapter, the social ideology of "modernization" with "new initiation" as representative achieves the universal mutual recognition in the realm of Chinese thinking during the new period of time. The social progress becomes at the same time a new flag and it condenses the strength of whole society. Placing the village movies into this kind of cultural and historical linguistic environment, I find obvious idealized tendency about the countryside in the works reflecting the lives of the right wing and educated youth. While in the cultural reconsidering works criticism and approval are in the state of coexistence. The countryside ideal is precisely displayed in this kind of contradiction. In the fourth chapter People in the realm of humanities and thinking have begun to think about the modernity and called on to reconstruct the ideal belief and the value standard with the comprehensive reforming of the social culture since the 90's. The national culture principle and the conservatism activated by the advancement of globalization stage a comeback and present something kind of inclination of confluence with the mainstream ideology. The village movies (the movies of countryside theme) become the objects which are propped up in the 90's, however the countryside ideal appears a kind of conscious pursuit.
