On The Inheriting Relationship Between Zhangwei's Works And Qi's Culture

As the one of the most important novelists in the new era, although the critics pay a lot of attention on Zhangwei's novel creation, their study mainly focus on its aesthetic significance, techniques and theme structure, which is insufficient comprehensive and thorough, especially for his fiction thought resources and cultural significance. Since the critics relatively less analyze Zhangwei's novels from the premise by comparing them with the traditional culture, therefore there is a big space in this study area. Selecting Zhangwei's works as the research object, this paper has two points of studying purposes, hoping can provide a new research perspective angle in exploring his works on one hand. On the other hand is to attract more attention on the novelists represented by Zhangwei, who takes the traditional culture as the foundations of writing, and to turn their concerns from numerous and jumbled external culture to Chinese traditional culture distributed by Zhangwei's works.Based on the existing research results, and through the text analyses of a series of Zhangwei's works such as The Ancient Boat, Seven Kinds of Mushrooms, The Record of Thoughts in Ancient Japan, The Wind from the Sea, The Fable of September, How Could I Forget Hollyhock, Ugly or Romantic, BaiHui, The Song of Hedgehog and so on, this paper tries to expound the relationship between Zhangwei's works and Qi's Culture, and to summarize the connotation as well as the expression form of Qi's Culture in Zhangwei's works from the thought resources, literary character and material type, the language features these four aspects of his works. Since critics tend to apply western literary theory to analyze his works, and conclude that Zhangwei is deeply influenced by the Stream of Consciousness Literature and Latin American Magic Realism, but in fact, it is a kind of misreading. This article attempts from a new angle of studying, using geography analysis, history research, cultural comparison and evidence cited as the methods to comb and explore Zhangwei's literary creation, from the overall to investigate the contacts between his creative ideas and creative practice and Qi's Culture as a representative of traditional culture, and reduce misreading criticism on his works.
