Research Of Ideological Construction In The Course Of Building A Harmoneous Society In China

As the understanding of the laws of the socialistic construction deepens, the fourth plenary session of the sixteenth national congress of CPC explicitly put forward the historic mission of building socialistic harmoneous society, and its implementation outline was formulated on the sixth plenary session. The great practice requires transformation and innovation of ideological theories. Therefore, to have an in-depth research into the ideological construction in the process of building a harmoneous socialistic society is a major task advanced by the time and practice, and is of great significance to get a better understanding of China's ideological development laws and provide scientific guidance to ideological development and innovation in the future. The dessertation explores the ideological construction in the new era in the context of building a harmoneous society by borrowing empirical evidence and research results in the political and sociological fields and employing the method of Marxist historic materialism. It is intended to propose some tentative thoughts and ideas of advancing ideological construction in the process of building a harmoneous society in China. The dessertation contains the preface and six chapters.The first chapter deals with basic issues of harmoneous socialistic society and ideological construction. An accurate understanding of basic concepts and theories concerning harmonious society, ideology and the relationship between the two is a prerequisite for further quest into the ideological construction in the course of building a harmonious society. The chapter analyses the origin and connotations of the concept of harmonious society, expounds the concept of ideology, proposes the contents of the ideology of a harmonious society, and summarizes the achievements made in China in this regard. Further, the paper explores the interactive relationship between building a harmonious society and ideological construction in terms of the new requirements of building harmonious society on ideological construction such as goals, main pattersn, theoretical innovations, and ideological construction providing building harmonious society with theoretical bases, sustaining spirit and moral foundation.The second chapter deals with the problems facing the ideological construction in China, and the reasons. A meticulous analysis of the problems and reasons is of significance for better ideological construction in the course of building a harmoneous society. The problems are analysed from the perspectives of the division of social classes, the diversification of social culture, internet, economic globlization, the development of science and technology, the influence of non-Marxism thoughts, the infiltration of western ideology, and current social contradictions in China. The reasons are analysed from the perspectives of global crisis of belief and cultural perplexity, the negative influences brought by the transformation of socialist market economy system, the defects existing in mainstream ideology construction in China.The third chapter deals with the theoretical bases,In the long-time practices of revolution, construction and reform, the CPC has integrated Marxism into the actual situations of the revolution in China to form a complete set of Chinalised Marxist theories which united the mind of hundreds of millions of Chinese people. The ideological construction in China must take these theories as basis. The part analyses the theoretical basis from the perspectives of Marxism, Leninism, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of "three represents", and socialistic core value system.The fourth chapter deals with the goals and principles. It is necessary to set goals and principles which serve as the basis for ideological construction in the new era and ensure the effect. The goals are explored from the perspectives of keeping the faith and uniting thoughts, developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, and realizing human's development in a comprehensive and free way. The principles are explored from the perspectives of the consistency between politics and economy, consistency between one predominant ideology and co-existence of diverse ideologies, consistence between inheritance and innovation, and consistence between constructiveness and criticness.The fifth chapter deals with the main contents. The internal environment and the complicated and volatile situations in the world demand constant improvement in the contents. The papers explores the contents in terms of Marxist theory construction, advanced culture construction, enhancing ideological inclusiveness, safeguarding and realizing social fareness and justice, properly handling the internal contradictions of people. The author upholds that to propel Marxist theory construction entails intensified effort in theoretical research, more interactive communications between social science of philosophy and Marxism, learning from western ideological thoughts with a critical manner. It is necessary to cultivate new spritual civilization which takes the construction of harmoneous culture as its goals in order to step up the construction of advanced culture. It is necessary to identify spiritual value shared by all Chinese people, which is themed on advocating traditional culture. Encouraging cultural innovations is the key to inject vitality into the development of advanced culture. The inclusiveness of ideology must contain all non-Marxism ideologies, diversified values, and the people who become rich ahead of others. It is necessary to properly coordinate interest relationships of all sides and do well in institution construction in order to safeguard and realize social fairness and justice. We must clearly distinguish two contradictions of different nature to properly deal with internal contradictions among people by addressing them while they newly emerge to avoid exacerbation, and by set up a complete working mechanism.The sixth chapter deals with the channels. Only by encouraging reform and innovation, the spirit of keeping abreast with the tide, unceasing exploration of new channels, can the ideological construction meet the needs of building harmoneous socialism and ensure desired effects. The paper analyses intensifying and improving the work of guidance for public opinion, accelerating the shift of ideological discourse, enhancing and improving ideologial education, stepping up its work force construction, and intensifying social psychological constrol. It is proposed that intensifying and improving the work of guidance for public opinion must follow the right direction of mass media, combine macro-policy with micro-guidance, change the mindset and pattern of public opinion guidance, do well in the guidance work for major and emergency events, and improve the work mechanism of public opinion supervision. The construction of ideological discourse system must draw upon the former ideology to transform the contents, summarize and reflect the core values of harmoneous society to explore new ideologicval resources, adjust and improve publicity discourse, and step up the construction of citizen's discourse system. Enhancing and improving ideological education must accurately identify the positioning of ideological education in the new era, further improve the contents, innovate the methods, and improve the effect of on-line education. The construction of ideological team shall focus on intellectuals, improve management mechanism, establish a sound leadership. Social psychological control shall give to play the role of social psycholoy to absorb and transform ideology, foster harmoneous mindset for individuals and all social groups, improve operation mechanism, balance social interest relations, enhance values of society members, and create a sound social psychology environment.The conclusion is that the ideological construction in the course of building a harmoneous society is a developing and lasting process. The contents and channels need constant exploration and innovation. The theories will surely become more mature and complete in the great practice of building a harmoneous socialistic society.
