Since The Reform And Opening Up The Dehong Dai-jingpo Autonomous Prefecture Of Cross-border Ethnic Relations Research

It is of great importance as to correctly handle trans-nationality relationship of in Dehong Dai & Jingpo Nationality Autonomous Prefecture (DDJNAP). However, both its distinctiveness of trans-nationality and its independent position contribute to much complexity in this way. Thus, its national relations of trans-nationalities are bound to work upon its politics, economy, culture and ideology, etc in this area. The research of trans-nationalities as a whole has vigorously been growing in our academic circles, as has been yielded richly, while, little has microcosmically and practically been done to it till now.Although there is some research results on the study of the south-western trans-nationalities, yet, the range of study mainly focus on that of the trans-nationalities and it is too wide to deal with specializing in research on the trans-nationalities relationship. Due to its unique geographic situation, Dehong has several-thousand-kilometer-long boundary line with Burma, along which the overwhelming majority of inhabitants are trans-nationalities. Since the reform of the opening up, Chinese and Burmese governments adopt different systems and opening-up policies, as resulted in a glaring discrepancy, however, in DDJNAP the harmonious relationship can still be shared among those trans-nationalities.Because the author now a PhD graduate-to-be for Ethnic Theory Studies, and what's more, he has developed a great interest in the trans-nationalities and their relationships in DDJNAP during the academic years, at the same time, he has done fieldwork a lot by himself there before, he has been paying close attention to it, therefore,"The Study of Trans-nationality Relationships in Dehong Dai & Jingpo Nationality Autonomous Prefecture" serves as his subject for the doctoral dissertation.Being one of the important contents of national relationship, Trans-nationality relationship is a social phenomenon existed commonly in today's world social life, as must be correctly handled by the trans-nationality countries during their national and social development. The rights, interests and development of trans-nationality are the key issues in its relationship. The correct handling of the trans-nationality relationship can not only be one of the key factors of existence and development of trans-nationality but be its very important contents. DDJNAP is one of 30 autonomous prefectures in our country. Because of its independent position and continuous national boundary with Burma, Dai, Jjingpo, Han, Hui, Deang, Aching, Wa, and Lisu nationalities and so on, all settle down there across the border from one generation to another. The distinctive trans-nationality relationship has been developed in different historical periods by numerous trans-nationalities. Since the reform of opening up, it has been much more represent activeness and actualities influenced by the trend toward global economic integration. Therefore, correctly to understand and handle the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP for the time being, it both can combine theory with reality and promote the development of national relationship theory, as also has some academic meanings, in the mean time, the results of study have certain realistic reference significance as to handle trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP and build humorous frontier.Therefore, when the author studies the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP, he has examined the trans-nationality relationship there since the reform of opening up from the view of nationality on the one hand, and he has examined the relationship between China and Burma from the aspect of trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP on the other. Only when we clearly know both of the relationship can we appreciate its realistic guide of study on the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP since the implementation of reform and opening to the outside world. "The trans-nationality and the trans-nationality relationship theory" is the base of the whole task. Only when we make it clear can he carries out the study of "the condition of the trans-nationality in DDJNAP"and that of "the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP". "The trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP since the reform of opening up" is the main demonstration part of this dissertation, which contains several factors influencing the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP, as is the inherent logic of the whole dissertation and also its theoretic clue, thus, it determines the structure and basic content of this dissertation.In general, this dissertation is composed of four parts. "Preface"is part one, which sets forth the meaning, the purpose, the current research situation, the train of thought, the method and the innovation point of this dissertation.Chapter one is Part Two, which elaborates systematically the relevant theories concerning the trans-nationality and its relationship. It is the base of this dissertation. Only when we clearly know these theories can we further carry out the study of the trans-nationality relationship. That being so, there are two basic contents in this part; one is about the theories on the trans-nationality. The section one expounds its conception and category in detail, the other is about the theories on the trans-nationality relationship. The section two discuss it from its conceptions and features.Chapter Two is Part Three, namely, "the trans-nationality in DDJNAP" and "the historical aspects of the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP". This part elucidates the condition on trans-nationality in DDJNAP, and then on this basis, the author examines and analyzes the history of the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP before the reform of opening up.Chapter Three and Chapter Four are Part Four in which the author analyzes the trans-nationality relationship in DDJNAP after the reform of opening up at length from three aspects, that is, mutual benefit and collective wins in economy, good neighborliness and mutual trust in politics, Similar blending in culture and the harmony and common prosperity in society. The author also analyzes the influencing factors and offers alternative counter-measures, which is the crystallization and also the final aim of this dissertation.
