Restructuring Of The National Community Building. The Process Of Urbanization

There are some special communities-transitional communities which differ from urban communities and village communities coming into being during the course of urbanization. Resently the study on transitional communities is not much, and even less than that on transitional ethnic communities. So it is worth to paying more attention on the study of transitional ethnic communities. And community construction is a good way to promote the development of the transitional ethnic communities. The pre-existing research mainly talked about the model of community construction in urban and villiage communities but less in transitional ethnic communities. Thus this dissertation tries to research a model of transitional ethnic communities' construction based on survey.According to community governance theory, the subjects of community construction should be diversified. This dissertation pays close attention to three subjects including government, community organization and residents. The study frame of this dissertation is based on the community governance theory. Many of the changes of the transitional community are relationed to the spatial changes. Space produces residents' action but residents' actions also produce new space. And then residents form their new life style in a new space. Thus it can be seen that space theory has become one of the theoretical basis on the full dissertation.This research builds a model of transitional ethnic communities' construction which from the subject and content of community construction. In this model the government, community organization and resident are the main subjects. In respect of content, there are three points which differ from urban community and village community:the attention to residentialization, the lives of ethnic minority customs, spiritual beliefs, and the reform of management at the primary level.Therefore this dissertation sums up the characteristic of the transitional ethnic communities' construction-ChangYing model. With regard to the subjects of community construction, the practices in ChangYing are the policy-making of Government, the implementation of community organizations and the participation of the residents. As for content, they take residentialization seriously by re-employment and psychological adjustment for residents, and take measures to meet Muslim Diet places of worship in the building of mosques and other aspects of the special needs of minority. And the management system is directly from the village management changing into the community management.
