How to deal with parent-subsidiary relationships is the focus in corporation management. During the development in a corporation, more and more attentions from different aspects are paid on this topic by not only practitioners but also researchers. However, the progresses made in this field are poor, and it is necessary to give more concerns on this topic from the aspect of theories. Based on the theory of resource-based view, this dissertation discussed the nature of the parent-subsidiary relationshipsirtually it is the relationships of resource and network, we also provide a detailed analysis on the essence of the relationship management. In chapter 1, based on a general review and commentary on the previous research works of parent-subsidiary relationships, a basic discussion is given on the content about parent-subsidiary relationship management, the introduction of object . key topic and innovations of this dissertation are also provided here. In the second chapter, a comprehensive introduction is given on the theory of esource-based view of the finn?at first. Then a discussion is provided mainly on the characteristics, catalogues, evaluations of firm resource and the relationships among these resources. Based on the theoretic analysis on the RBV in the second chapter, the third chapter gives a detailed and deep illumination on the transformation of knowledge resource and how to share them among the parent-subsidiary network. In this chapter an important argument is put forward, that it is the transformation and sharing of knowledge-based resource who make up of the sustained driving power on firm growth, and this is also the nature and focus of parent-subsidiary relationship management. Following the theories in the previous, in this chapter, a positive analysis is given based on the datum from 42 firms. Referring to the demonstration, we puts forward the concrete tactic on the relation management innovatively, involving how to deal with the division between parent and subsidiary, how to manage subsidiaries in diversified way, how to decide the objects in subsidiary management. Based on the conclusions, we put forward some suggestions aiming at the main defects in the domestic corporations, especially about the parent-subsidiary relationships as the following, enhance the transformation and sharing of the resources among groups, strengthen the parent competence to create the public resources especially human resources, create and upgrade the perch resources advantage of the parent in the network system. At last, the dissertation generalized the main points and provided some advice on the research of parent-subsidiary relationship management. Innovations in the dissertation are as the following: at first, the detailed and concrete discussion of the RBV and the nature of the finnesources complex; secondly, redefinition and discussion on the nature of the parent-subsidiary relationshipesources diffused in the network; thirdly, deep analysis on the essence of the relationship managementaking the resources diffused in order in the network; sequentially, the research on the division in the parent-subsidiary network system, define the parent corp. -role different from subsidiary's; in the fifth department, we bring forward the degree on the parent-subsidiary management and analysis on how to choose the subsidiaiy management object and at last, embody the fitting management tactic of parent oiiP subsidiary.
