The Contingent Theory Of Spiritual Motivation

Innovation is the soul of the ideological and political education. Guided by Marxism, this thesis bases itself on the theories and practice of the ideological and political education and makes it uses for reference of the theoretical achievements of the circles concerned. Beginning with spiritual motivation it makes its research on the noumenon, mechanism and effectiveness of spiritual motivation so as to discover new ways of the ideological and political education.There are only a few documents on the spiritual motivation in the academic circle and most of these documents are scattered in different academic areas. Upon backgrounds of the research, academic points and so on, Chinese and foreign academic circles have much in differences at the same time. Starting with the basic hypothesis like '"spirit" and '"motivation", this thesis brings out a new concept of spiritual motivation and holds the -view that corresponded with the material motivation; spiritual motivation is the basic means of mental reconstruction and behavior improvement. It's a conduct mechanism of the transformation "from knowledge to practice", a direct way of transforming the morale value and releasing the energy of spirit. Spiritual motivation can indicates the relativity of spirit and practice and can symbolize the inference and influence of the choices of spiritual factors upon the individual behavior.In order to make the spiritual motivation more effective, with the theory of contingency this thesis makes constitutional analysis and modeling on the restricted factors of the spiritual motivation. We can analyze the spiritual motivation by means of allocation construction with one or more relation models or subsystems. Then the effectiveness of spiritual motivation in specific situation comes out and offers evidences when people need to select a relatively effective way to encourage others in a spiritual way. According to the theory of motivation and the theory of contingency, we can bring about the basic concept of the contingent motivation. By integrating and reorganizing the model of the theory of motivation and the theory of contingency we can design and systematically explain the synthetic model of contingent motivation.At last, with the theory of contingent motivation we can analyze the motivation patterns in the ideological and political education. This thesis selects some basic factors of spiritual motivation like belief, ethics and idols and puts them in the model of contingent motivation to make contingent analysis. By then, this thesis tries to explain the motivation mechanism of belief, ethics and idols and also the effectiveness of them that match the mechanism and finally examines the applicability of the contingent motivation model.Spiritual motivation is the essential part of the ideological and political education. By applying the theory of contingent motivation for the area of ideological and political education, we can make the theories in ideological and political education more systematic and make ways more scientific so as to find some new arguments in ideological and political education.
