This research adopts an action research methodology, which is seldom used in China, to explore the investment strategy implementation model of foreign-invested enterprises (FIE for short) in China and analyze its introduction as well as application in VTech.Five chapters were included in this dissertation.In Chapter 1, it mainly describes the research background, research issues and questions to be investigated as well as the value of such a research.In Chapter 2, it introduces the development of foreign investment in China and reviews literature on strategy management, organizational change processes and action research methodology.In Chapter 3, it describes the details of methodology used, which includes the processes and procedures of action research and the action research group discussion technique.In Chapter 4, it firstly introduces the data collection, analysis method and the reliability and validity of the related data. Then, a valid strategy implementation model for FIE in China is developed on the basis of analyzing the processes of FIE' s entering into China as well as those factors that can exert influence on such processes. It also discusses the results of the two action cycles within the action research for each of the three research issues and their associated research questions.The final chapter discusses the conclusions and the implications for theory, policy and practice stemming from current research. A strategy implementation model for FIE in China is finalized and proved to be effective. In addition, the limitations of current research and future research orientation are also addressed.
