Israeli northern border between Israel, Syria and Lebanon is still an uncertain international boundary because of its special historic process. There are three historical boundaries between Israel and Syria: 1923 Boundary, 1949 Armistice Demarcation Line and the Line of June 4, 1967. During the bilateral talks after Madrid Peace Conference, Israel insists on 1923 boundary to be the final border with Syria while Syria argues that the Line of June 4, 1967 should be the basis of further negotiation. Not based on a single text, the Israeli-Syrian peace-talks have been in impasse.Although Israel and Lebanon have not signed the Peace Treaty, there is no serious boundary dissension between them. They keep the 1923 Boundary for the most of time. In May, 2000, Israel accomplished the unilateral withdrawal from Southern Lebanon except the Shabba Farms and the village of Ghajar, which both become the conflicting spots afterwards along the Israeli-Lebanon border.Lebanon was a part of Syria. Both got sovereignty from French mandate in 1947. Syria began to intervene Lebanon since the 1975 Civil War. Later on, Lebanon becomes the backyard of Syria. Because of the intimacy, the deadlock of Israeli-Syrian negotiation results in the impasse of Israeli-Lebanon peace-talks.The relationship between Israel and Arabian countries is a kind of interactive game. This thesis tries to analyse the conflicts and cooperation on the issue of boundary between Israel and Arabian countries with the tool of Game Theory in order to find out the sticking points of deadlock.
