In future success will only belong to those who comply with the standards of globalization and melt in the business of worldwide network. As the domain of competition is completely unchanged in Taiwan, foreign competitors just enter our market openly. It forces the local businessmen to make detailed reviews on their strategies and organizational structures in order to break through the traditional boundary limitations. There are more and more medium- and small-scale enterprises extremely longing for competing with the large-scale enterprises. Either trying hard to get a share from the big bread of international market, or competing to strengthen their sizes to become enterprises of international grade, they intend to keep the local consumers.All along the small- and medium-scale enterprises have been playing indispensable roles in the process of economic development of Taiwan. With their small but smart natures, these Taiwanese small- and medium-scale enterprises are found to have their claws stretched out everywhere in the worldwide economic waves. But what characteristic conditions do these small- and medium-scale enterprises have when implementing the mode of international labor division? Confronted with the competition of economic globalization, how do entrepreneurs, who intend to struggle for respectful positions in the global market, review their business strategies, make good use of information, establish their business network and think out the ways to success in future?As learnt from this research, during the early stage a company firstly establishes a production spot in a foreign country, as there must be a distance between the techniques and labor costs of the newly-established foreign factory and those of the mother factory in Taiwan, there is a common existence of the mode of "vertical division of labor," which then gradually turns to be a kind of mutually-favored foundation. In this research there are deeply investigations on theoperation ways and product contents of various spots established in foreign countries. After that, it summarizes the foreign spots of Taiwanese small-size metal enterprises have two modes of international labor division towards their mother companies: "horizontal division of labor" and "horizontal integration." Due to alterations of the internal technical conditions as well as the external environmental conditions of enterprises, it is a must to see the trend of development from "horizontal labor division" to "horizontal integration."The essentials to success have to comply with the growth of worldwide market and a worldwide readjustment of the distance of labor and land costs among various countries Businessmen have to establish their spots in various countries so as to undertake division of labor, integrate and reallocate the structure of worldwide resources, and establish their core technical abilities. The staff they employ must have the spirits and innovations of entrepreneurs, and be able to melt in local cultures. With "globalization of operation and localization of knowledge" as the ideas, they should take the development of new local colors as their foundation, mix together the superiority and history of business development of Taiwan, and create a mode of globalized operation exclusively belonging to Taiwan.
