Based on "humanity as foundation, morality as priority, behavior adjustment for better service and relations", the eastern management thought put forward by Professor Su Dong-shui, together with the humanism thoughts and research findings in psychology, this dissertation explores the human nature and human needs and sets up the research framework for humanistic management with organization, leadership, incentive, people relations as major factors in the field.Humanism is originally a concept in philosophy. With the development of technology and society, human beings' position in any organization is no longer what it was before. People's role has gradually started but has greatly differed from machines. How to get people to work with all their hearts without too much cost in management has been a question for many years to many managers. By a thorough review in both eastern and western philosophy, it is found that the philosophical concept can be used in management. Man, wherever he is, has the right to pursue the happiness as he sees it. Even when he is at work, he still wants and needs to be happy. This is actually his nature. Therefore, anyone who provides employment is also responsible for the pleasure his employees can get by working for him. It is somehow common sense that the satisfaction of a certain need or needs can more or less bring men happiness. So, the dissertation goes on to explore what human beings need, how their needs form and change and what role human nature plays in the formation and changes of needs. The research findings of this part shows that human beings, for most of the time, are willing to serve others, and are willing to sacrifice, but it will not happen until he is sure that either short-term or long-term benefits will be theirs. The following chapters of the dissertation focus on how to motivate people through good leadership, organizational structure, incentive plans and people relations. What is unique of the dissertation is the last chapter which is about the management of human error. Human beings make mistakes when at work, which is actually unavoidable, but at the same time, human beings do learn from their mistakes. To deal with people's mistakes and the people who make mistakes is obviously an important aspect in humanistic management.Humanistic management is a quite new concept in business management. There remains much more to be discussed, analyzed and explored.
