| With the greatly development of global market economy and information chnology, quickly developing new product with high quality and suitable price hich would be accepted by most customers becomes the new competitive focus, irtual enterprises (VE) and networked agile manufacturing (AM) will become opular in the 21st century. AM based supply chain (SC) technologies and systems one of the most important enable technologies which supporting manufacturing nterprises dynamic integrating with distribution ones and e-commerce ngineering and modern logistics system. Flexibility has become one of the most mportant indices for measuring SC performance in increasing uncertainty nvironment. Flexibility level of SC determines the rapidity responding to the narket opportunity and the ability adapting to the internal and external environments. Therefore, systematically study on flexible management of AM ased SC has great significance for implementing networked AM and accelerating Chinese manufacturing.In order to find some solutions to solve such problems as "what is SC flexibility" and "how to measure and control SC flexibility" and "how to carry out SC flexible management", SC flexibility and its flexible management methods are systematically analyzed after the analysis of AM based SC in this thesis. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1. The multi-faceted meaning of flexibility is clarified and unified by comparing with related words. SC flexibility and the relationships between control ability and SC flexibility are analyzed through system control theories, based on which the methods of SC management and organization design are proposed according to the relationships between SC flexibility and environment uncertainty. Entropy theory is firstly used to analyze SC flexibility and some flexible management methods are suggested based on entropic ideas. The methods of measuring SC organizational flexibility with efficient entropy and quality entropy. The overall flexibility of SC is systematically analyzed with decision and economic profit theory under such kinds of environment with one or more disturbing factors. It is proved that SC has an optimal flexibility level based on the relations between cost and value of flexibility. The way of improving flexibility and its negative effect are discussed in this dissertation.2 . Organization flexibility, culture flexibility, developing flexibility, information system flexibility, flexible decision, plan flexibility, flexible advantage distribution mechanism, flexible contract, human resource flexibility,FMS and flexible strategy of SC are expounded systematically. The motivity and the dynamic characteristic and evolving process of SC flexibility are analyzed according to the supply and demand principle. Based on the processes in SC, an integrated SC flexibility system model and its eight flexible subsystems models are built, the relationships among these flexible subsystems are discussed concretely.3. After analyzing we know that suitable level flexibility has a positive impact on supply chain performance. In order to measuring the overall flexibility of SC four models are established, based on which the flexibility measuring indices and methods of SC flexibility system and its eight flexible subsystems are also established, with its help some ways of improving SC flexibility are proposed.4. AM based SC visual flexible decision support system model and its decision mechanism are built to improve decision flexibility. Flexible decision and its characters are discussed based on limited senses. Intelligent agents based SC visual flexible decision support system model and its decision mechanism and decision flow are established which suit for the circumstances that partners of SC distributed all over the world.5. Satisfying customers with customizable products and services has significance in acquiring competitive superiority in supply chain management.
