The research purpose of the present dissertation is to probe into the routes of China political power's legitimization with economic globalization in the background. To the dissertation's point, the root of China political power's legitimate crisis since 1992 is the comprehensive westernization which is the basic connotation of contemporary economic globalization's negative political effects. Based on this judgment, the dissertation brings forward the following core viewpoint: the rational routes of legitimization based on the theoretical standpoint of the Four Basic Principles can optimally restrain the extension of China political power's legitimate crisis which is under the domination of economic globalization's negative effects. The dissertation illustrates the core viewpoint with the help of the following three basic research methods: the combination of canonical research method and experiential one, Marxist methods of class analysis and historical approach.During the concrete process of analysis, Chapter I of the dissertation (Introduction) introduces the thesis' research significance, research actuality, the structure of argumentation and research methods. Chapter II (Economic globalization's political effects) focuses on the political effects and its concrete connotation of economic globalization. Chapter III (Legitimization's concept and basic routes) reconstructs the concept of legitimization on the basis of the review of the development process of legitimization's concept, and points out the four basic routes of legitimization. Chapter IV (Economic globalization and visualizing legitimate crisis) describes the characteristic of China's visualizing legitimate crisis since 1992, probes into its root, and confirms the relationship between the legitimate crisis and economic globalization's negative political effects. Chapter V (The Four Basic Principles' value of legitimization) points out the value of legitimization of the Four Basic Principles from the canonical aspect and the experiential one. Chapter VI (The rational routes of political power's legitimization) illustrates the rational routes of China political power's legitimization from the following four aspects: the maintenance of economic achievements, the construction of ideology, the reform of political system, and the exaltation of political diathesis, which are based on the theoretical standpoint of the Four Basic Principles. Chapter VII (Conclusion) epurates the core viewpoint of the dissertation directly.The dissertation is under the instruction of the consciousness of China's problems, with the aim of the benign development of socialist China's politics, in the face of the actuality of legitimate crisis of China's political power since 1992, and in search of the rational routes of settling the legitimate crisis based on the theoretical standpoint of the Four Basic Principles. These vivid characteristics represent the dissertation's innovational significance.
