The diversity and complexity of interests of firms in China are the result of special political and economic situations during the primary stage of Socialism. In practice, the correct recognition of economic interests is essential to fulfill the objects of overall development of socialism and harmonious society, providing that an effective adjustment mechanism is available. Therefore, the study on the nature of firm and its interests is of great theoretical as well as practical significances. Current western theories and their analytics are mainly focused on the general term of "contract" and " interests" and cannot give us a satisfying explanation. On the contrary, the analytics of Marxist political economics provide us a powerful theoretical tool.With the dialect materialistic methodology, including the combination of theory and practice, as well as the concord of history and logic, this paper proposes the two level ideas about the nature of firms. On the fist level, the firm is a kind of social productive organization, which is its "natural" attribute. On the second level, firm is the miniature of social productive relationship, which is its "social" attribute. In this term, its core is the social union of labors and owners of productive materials and its extension is the gather of total social economic relationships of different commodity owners. On the above two level, this pager analyzes the interests between investor, manager, worker, creditor, supplier, seller, customer, government and the firm, even the social responsibility of it one by one. Further more, this paper also analyzes the practical problems of firms in China, and proposes a way to clarify the nature of the subjects and strengthen the adjustment mechanism of interests.
