Since the beginning of China's policy of reform and opening up to the outside world, and in the meantime the transition of economic system from the planning economy to the socialist market economy, various aspects of our social life in China have been in a time period of transformation. One of the outstanding social problems at the time is the aggravated emergence and spread of corruption. The practice against corruption as well as the research done by scholars on anti-corruption at the time of transition has shown an abundant knowledge of economic thought against corruption.From the perspective of the history of economic thought, the paper applies methodology of Marxism, Deng Xiaoping's theory and the "three representative" thought, to the explaining, analyzing and summarizing of the economic thought against corruption during China's economic transition. The paper is based on a host of research work, including the reference to an extensive literature.The paper starts with an introduction to the social background and basic knowledge of the emergence and spread of corruption during the time period of transition. The following part, made up of eight subjects, is a discussion and summary of economic thought against corruption, based on a logical order of the development of economic thought. The first subject elaborates and sums up the definition of corruption in the context of economics, followed by an explanation of the economic cause of corruption and the bad influence of corruption on economic development. The paper also employs theories of both macro- and micro-economics when it talks about anti-corruption strategies and thoughts in an economic aspect. It discusses methods and practices to control corruption in the economic development, such as to standardize duty consumption and income distribution, fight against corruption in a more transparent way, provide resources against corruption, and prevent corruption from its taproot by means of market economy. In its conclusion, by commenting and analyzing the economic thought against corruption in the time of transition in relation to a broad background of history, the paper raises its point of view.
