The thesis is a research concerning the modernization of CPC, which is the integration of academic study and applied study. The thesis redefines the conception of the modernization of CPC by placing the issue on the background of the complicated course of Chinese modernization, and discovers the universal laws governing the modernization of every type of parties in the world so as to provide the reference for CPC through reviewing the modernization of foreign parties. Besides, the thesis demonstrates the historic inevitability and realistic inevitability of modernization of CPC by analyzing the mutual effect between CPC and its reigning environment, and brings forward a few new point of view by studying intensively the goal of the modernization of CPC and the way of approaching this problem so that we can widen the horizon of the modernization of CPC and promote the party-building level of CPC in expectation.According to Marxism-Leninism, MaoZedong Thought, DengXiaoping Theory and the important thought of Three Represents, combining the research method of politics, sociology and history, the writer unites the history and realism, the theory and fact, the data and analysis, the criterion and demonstration. In addition, with the primary socialistic phase in China, using foreign studies and experience for reference, still thinking much of the academic actuality in China, the thesis conspicuously applies ecological analysis methodology, comparing analysis methodology and systems analysis methodology.First, ecological analysis methodology is the way to study social science by using ecological basic concept and method, which considers CPC as life system of ecological analysis and considers the political, economic and social condition that the party modernization based on as environment system. The thesis searches the social reason by analyzing the inherent relations and mutual effect between CPC and the whole social environment, and probes into how to accelerate the modernization of CPC so that CPC will maintain the necessary adaptability to the social environment by analyzing the special demand the transformation of social environment system has brought about.Secondly, the thesis strives to seek for the universal laws governing the development of every type of parties in the world so as to guide the modernization of CPC by comparing them. And the thesis tries hard to ravel the cause and effect of inheriting and developing of CPC, and the relations between theoretic foundation and theoretic innovation in order to guarantee the modernization of CPC to keep a right direction by fore and aft comparing the traditional Marxist party-building theory and the practice of worker-class party in modem times.Thirdly, the systems analysis methodology: by using the basic thought way of the system theory, the thesis regards the modernization of CPC as a system. And the thesis tries to analyze its configuration and function, and study the relations among its elements, between the elements and system also between the system and surroundings making for us to review the actuality of CPC across-the-board and formulate thescheme of the modernization of CPC as well as to adopt various right step for logically evaluating the fruit of modernization of CPC.The thesis consists six chapters. The main content is as following:Chapter one. The exordium mainly introduces the academic actuality concerning the issue in China, and draw a conclusion: CPC, reigning party in China, played a key role in Chinese political life and hold the balance in the Chinese modernization. As the theory and practice has proved that it is unpractical to settle the problem piled up in a century and realize the Chinese renaissance without a strong leading power in such a large country. Therefore a strong leading power is a key to the Chinese modernization as well as every country in the world. And who can assume the part in China is only CPC that is a key to the success of Chinese modernization and the Chinese renaissance also the socialism with Chinese characteristic.Since 1980s, the CPC has led the progress of Chinese modernization successfully along with implementing of policy of reforming and opening. On the other hand, the social variance in connection with the Chinese modernization has brought forward further need for guidance of the CPC. So how to produce fine influence each other between the party building of CPC and Chinese modernization has became the important issue in China nowadays. Moreover the crux of resolving the problem is that the CPC should consummate oneself constantly in the course of pushing Chinese modernization. And a vital CPC is the precondition on which Chinese modernization will succeed in 21 century.Chapter two. Starting with the analysis of modernization such a historic phenomenon that changed the fate of human being enormously, the writer points out that modernization involves every aspects such as politics, economy and culture, and that the modernization of politics is the core of the modernization in a country. Furthermore, the writer advances that the modernization of CPC is the key to Chinese modernization because CPC as a reigning party plays a key role in Chinese political life, which embodies that CPC leads the government office, military and judicatory absolutely.Chapter three. It detailedly analyzes the historic status of CPC in the Chinese renaissance and CPC's practical function, and estimates the new challenges produced by the new characteristic of the contemporary era, the new diversification of the international situation and the variance of social structure in China. Thereby, it demonstrates that it is necessary to realize the modernization of CPC, and presents the reasoning of the worth of the modernization of CPC. This chapter attaches significance to the motivity of the modernization of searched from the reigning environment of CPC. Consequently, it is proved that CPC must take cognizance of and acclimatize itself to the political environment, and accomplish its modernization according as the epoch demanded in order to keep its vitality. And the worthiness of the modernization of CPC is to keep the party advanced and demotic and buck for validity.Chapter four. It expounds systematically the keystone of the ideological foundation of the modernization of CPC. And it systematically clears up Marxist party-building theory mainly composed of three parts: the first one is Marx- Engel'sparty-building theory;the second one is Lenin party-building thought, i.e., the application and development of Marx-Engel's party-building theory in Russia;the third one is the application and development of Marx-Lenin party-building theory in China, which makes up of three theoretic fruits, i.e., Mao Zedong party-building Thought, Deng Xiaoping party-building Theory and the important thought of Three Represents. Although these* theories are given birth to at different historical times, they address themselves to a common issue, i.e., "What kind of a party should we build and how can we build it?" And the thought of development of party permeate all of these theories that are imbued with the same spirit and ceaseless enrichment and development. So the intention to clear up these party building theories consist in that we should understand fully which viewpoint we must persist in, which viewpoint we should enrich with new experiences, which viewpoint we should develop the useful and discard the useless, and which inaccurate viewpoint but under the Marxism's name we must cast away.Chapter five. Through the historic research of the party building ways of every type of parties in the world, the thesis demonstrates that party modernization has already become the tendency of every party in the world and provides the reference for the modernization of CPC. The thesis introduces the party building means of oversea communist parties by taking the communist parties of Cube and Japan, as well as of the socialist party, bourgeois party and nationalism party. From these content, we can find that every type of parties in the world have reformed their party-building modes one after another and advanced a lot of new viewpoint and measures, and that they have established party modernization as their new goal, facing the protean domestic and international situation. In addition, the thesis primarily summarizes the choice of the party-building objective and path.Chapter six. The thesis expounds the academic reflection on how to realize the modernization of CPC, and puts forward the proposal on four aspects such as the modernization of system info, the modernization of organizational system, the modernization of institutional system and reigning system. They are mainly as followings: adhering to the scientific character of Party's foundation in theory;paying attention to the realistic quality of the Party's guiding principle;impelling the reformation of leading system to adjust the relations among CPC;coordinating the organizational resources to strengthen the efficiency of CPC;the modernization of institutional system is the key to the modernization of CPC;developing the inner-party democracy is the core of the modernization of institutional system;reforming and improving the Party's way of leadership and governance and its leadership and working system;building up the Party's governing capacity and improving its art of leadership and governance etc.
