Communist Party Of China In The New Period Of The Independent Commission Against Corruption Historical Investigation And Thinking

It has been twenty years since China adopted the reform and open-door policy. During the two decades, our Party has been fighting against corruption and advocating honesty. During the same period, our Party has led the nation to reform determinedly, implement the open-door policy on a broad scale and carry out actively the socialist construction. Meanwhile, our Party has stood the test of administration, reform and opening up by fighting against corruption and trying to keep honesty. In the dissertation, the twenty-year period, which has seen the Chinese Communist Party fighting against corruption and advocating honesty all the time, is divided into four stages: "bringing order out of chaos", "initiating new situations for socialist modernization", "administration and reorganization" and "building socialist economic market system". The history of our Party's fighting against corruption and advocating honesty has been analyzed systematically and our Party's achievements and experience in doing so in the last twenty years has been summarized tentatively. The author also points out the seriousness of corruption spreading in the country and the characteristics and nature of its transformation. According to Marxist side, point of view and method, especially under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping's theory, the author first explores and analyses the historical, cultural, social, economic and political sources of the hard-dying corruption, then suggests the following for its solution: "treating it by looking into both its root cause and symptoms", "guarding against and attacking it", "a quick campaign and a long-term strategy", "construction of both material civilization and ideological civilization", "comprehensive administration and elimination of its single parts" and eight specific measures. The dissertation emphasizes that corruption spreading trend can be put to an end gradually through comprehensive administration, by all available means at the same time, especially by taking into consideration initiating new policies and building the organ to guard and fight against corruption. Finally, the author, after looking back on the history and looking forward to the future, ventures to put forth that the Chinese Communist Party is sure to fulfil the great task of fighting against corruption and advocating honesty and also to put the movement to the twenty-first century.
