On The University Students Of The New Era From The Perspective Of The Ideological And Political Education

The young people are the future of the country and the nation. And college students are very valuable human resources. The career of the party and the people has been developing continuously and vigorously since the founding of new China. One reason is that a batch after batch of qualified builders and successors are cultivated continuously for the cause of socialism. Great importance has always been given to the cultivation of college students and their ideological and political education. What kind of people to be cultivated and how to cultivate is the key problem of the development of China's socialist education which relates to the long-term stability of the party and the country and to the future and destiny of the Chinese nation. Researches on college students from the perspective of higher education mainly lay in the all-round development of the moral, intellectual, physical education. This dissertation tries to study the object of the ideological and political education---the college student of the new era. They will form a right outlook on world, on life and on value through moral education. And then the "Three Outlooks" will guide them to complete learning tasks as the ideological and political education does not directly teach students professional knowledge.The strategic goal of the Party and the country is to set up a well-off society of the higher level which benefits over one billion people at the 100th birthday of our party; to basically realize modernization and build a prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious modem socialist country in order to achieve the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation at the 100th birthday of our new China. College Students is the future backbone of building socialism with Chinese characteristics whose mission is to build a moderately prosperous society and achieve elememtary socialist modernization. To train college students as qualified builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics is a strategic task of that cause, the fundamental guarantee of the construction well-off society, socialist modernization and the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. In order to complete the stagtegic goal mentioned above, the object of ideological and political education, the college students, has to make themselves both competent in marality and ability. Their qualities of ideology, marality, intellegency and health not only directly related to the quality of the Chinese nation, but also directly related to the quality of the future Chinese nation. What's more, it directly related to the fate of the party and the country. To make them qualified builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, their quality of scientific knowege should be greatly improve as well as their quality of marality. Only with hundreds of thousands this kind of college students, our country can stand in the fierce international competition, the goal of the construction of a well-off and modernized society can be achieved and the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation can be realized.Modern world and Chinese society is undergoing tremendous and profound changes. Be born and raised in the contemporary society, college students are experiencing both happiness and bitterness. The economic globalization which brought in Western values, religious beliefs along with their material goods, cultural products, and personnel exchanges put college students in the impact of the western culture and values. With the continuous development of the socialist market economy, a variety of ideas and culture, values and moral concepts coexist and challenge each other. when the Internet connected the world as a whole, college students who are easy to accept new things form the major part of netizen. It both brings convenience of life and challenges on their ideological and moral values. Influenced by the social environment, today's college students have different ideas, behavior and characteristics from the college students of the past. The future students may also have different characteristics. Influenced by the complex changes in social circumstance, the "after 80s" and "after 90s" in college are delighted with and proud of changes and progress brought about by the reform and opening up, but they also are confused at the problems and contradictions appeared in reality. This is the unique "after 80s" and "after 90s" phenomenon. The characteristics and laws of college students' ideological and political education should be summarized and progress in the ideological and political education theory should be made in order to guide the ideological and political education to be closer to reality, to life and to the students to make them qualified builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.As a study on the object of ideological and political education, this dissertation tries to explore the theoretical origins to find out who is the object from the foue aspexts:the meaning of the object, features of the object, types of the object and functions of the object. By using of the Marxist viewpoint and method, it systematically reviews and summarizes the development history of the object since the reform and the opening up. Enlightened by the comparison of the structure and quality of college students, the object ideological and political education changes along with the changes in the time and society. Thus, the future development of college students must change with the future development of society. They are required to have all abilities which suit the future society. This dissertation has done practical reseach on the college students, the object of ideological and political education. Through the analysis of research data, a conclusion can be made:the mainstream of their ideological and political thought is positive, healthy and progressive; they cherish lofty ideals, have the courage to self-reliance and are willing to accept new things; they love the Party, love the motherland and socialism; they uphold the Party's line and policy; that are confident in the socialist road with Chinese characteristicst and in building a moderately prosperous society; they are reliable generation with a promising future who are able to take responsibilities and tasks of the construction of a well-off society and the realization of socialist modernization. However, they also have some outstanding issues which is not conducive to their healthy development.This dissertation also put forward specific measures to solve these problems from the aspects of training objectives, training content, training methods, training environment which may help training the object of ideological and political education of the new era.
