It has been pointed out in 17th National Party Congress that we should build up the system of socialist core values and make socialist ideology more attractive and cohesive ".As an important task in socialist ideological area, ideological and political education in colleges and universities should have bright prospective. When elaborating the major tasks for enhancing and improving ideological and political education among university students, the suggestion about strengthening and improving the college students' education of ideology politics given by The State Council of the Central Committee of the CPC(issued by China 2004, No.16) points out we should adhere to the people-oriented approach; Close to reality, close daily life, close to students; make efforts to improve pertinence, effectiveness, attractiveness and appeal of the ideological and political education thus cultivating qualified socialist builders and reliable successors with all around development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education. At present, ideological and political education in colleges and universities has already made great progress for the mainstream of the political problems among contemporary college students is positive, healthy and upright. At the same time, Faced with the new situations and new circumstances, ideological and political education in colleges and universities is unadapted and has quite a few weak points of which lacking appeal in ideological and political education in colleges and universities and further improvement in effectiveness stick out. Therefore, it is quite necessary to reinforce the research on the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.From the perspective of sociology function creed; this article adopts qualitative and quantitative method, aimed to reveal how the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities influences its effects and reveal its internal mechanism. Through the main-factors that influence the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities and empirical analysis, this article explores the reality countermeasures of target, subject, methods, carrier and environment in ideological and political education needed in enhancing the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, thus trying to construct an appealing ideological and political education working plan.This research analyzes the connotations and components of the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, finding that the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is a system consisting of target, subject, methods, carrier and environmental attraction of ideological and political education.This research finds enhancing the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is the key requirement put forward by the ideological and political education development of CPC, the inherent requirement for raising the effectiveness of ideological and political education, the exclusive requirement for realizing the education goals in socialist colleges and universities, the objective requirement proposed by the present situation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.This research carries out separately empirical analysis in terms of target, subject, methods, carrier and environment in ideological and political education, the influencing factors of the appeal of ideological and political education in "colleges and universities.On this basis, this article puts forward countermeasures on how to enhance the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities from six aspects:Firstly, making clear the education goals is the important premise for enhancing the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Following the leading principle, initiative principle and constructive principles, education subject should abide by the interpersonal attracting rule, vigorously train their personal charm, substantially raise professional quality, promote artistic language level, and boost the ability of attracting attention to enhance the appeal of ideological and political education.Thirdly, improving the educational content is an inevitable choice to the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Keep to the directional principle, interesting principle, targeted principle and selective principle; we should pay attention to the truth of the content of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, to making the content life-oriented, to making the content hierarchical, to making the content epochal character in order to enhancing the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Fourthly, innovating educational method is the inevitable course to enhance the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Adhering to the comprehensive principle, initiative principle, selective principle, heuristic principle and teleological principle, we can initiate the ideological and political educational method by making the methods comprehensive, human-oriented modernized and China-characterized. Adopting the three-dimension method to carry out ideological and political education can constantly enhance the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Fifthly, expanding educational carrier is an important way to enhance the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Abiding by the principle of expansibility, coordination, and concordance and life-oriented, the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities can be enhanced by the combination of traditional and modern carrier, th'eory and practice and by expanding educational carrier through bearing ability and transmission ability of carriers.Sixthly, optimizing educational environment is an important course to enhance the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Following the creative principle, realistic principle, adaptive principle, directional principle, comprehensive principle and subjective principle, the appeal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities can be enhanced by optimizing campus external environment, campus cultural environment, typical practice environment and media virtual environment of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
