Unilateral, narrow and stiff sense of science, which is popular in our society, shelters the colourful content of science, twisting the true image of science, misleading people's understanding of science. All of those are a great waste of cultural source of science, and estimate a false value of science. These penetrate science education and curriculum and lead to the perplexity and mal-position of the ideas of science, knowledge, destination, form and study in science curriculum, which consists of one reason that science curriculum can't meet people's requirements. To understand the nature of science, to state science in culture, to disclose the colourful contents of science culture, to excavate curriculum source of science culture, to reevaluate curriculum value of science culture in order to turn over to think the theories and practices of science curriculum, to expect the developing tendency of science curriculum from mal-aspect and mal-angle in order to do some contributions to the regulation, construction and implement of science curriculum in the new century. It's not only the necessary requirements to construct scientific and reasonable science curriculum, but also the objective requirements of the reformation and practice of science curriculum, which are developing vigorously at presentThe questionnaire of science curriculum for the middle school teachers and students indicates: at present, positivism and objectivism science idea is the main stream; most teachers and students believe that science is static system of knowledge, sophisticate theory on teach, and understand the development of science from inductive perspective, most students do not have a complete understanding on what value of the content of science curriculum is in social life. They believe that science has no negative effect or are noncommittal. Most teachers believe that the current science curriculum can't make students understand the limitation and negative effect of science value. Half of the students believe that the current value of science curriculum is to pass examinations, which is the requirement of examination. A lot of teachers surround the commanding stick of the higher school entrance examinations. For the aim of science education, most teachers and students think that the aim of science education is to prepare social builders, and some believe that it is to train qualified citizens. For the role of curriculum in teaching, most teachers and students believe that it regulates the teaching content. Most teachers and students believe that the studying method of science curriculum is understanding-memory; correspondingly, most teachers believe that students' exploiting activities can't be improved because those will not included in examinations. Most teachers and students believe that the content of science curriculum is divorced from student-life, is not related to social realization and hope that it will connect life-practice.By examination on history of science curriculum, the author outlines the developing history of science curriculum into 4 stages: legalization, activization, structivization and syntheticalization. By analyzing the analyzing the theory of science curriculum at different stages, it is found that the idea of science, curriculum and student hidden in science curriculum is different depending on the stages, which leads to the various understanding of aim. form and studying style of science curriculum. But it is found that the developing process of science curriculum and its theories are of historical inheritance, even though most of the time the inheritance is critical. Based on the observation of history of science curriculum, it is understand that an important variable influencing the development of science curriculum is the understanding of science culture and its deductive cognition of the source of science curriculum.Science culture is one of the most important cultures of human beings, which is of long history and rich connotation.
