A Research On Sport Healthcare System: Value Discussion And System Construction

In recent years China entered a transition period which is from the center-controlled economic to the marketing economic, the people witnessed that several great changes happened in China, such as the winning of holding Olympic Games of 2008, the successful entrance to the WTO. In this context, it is necessary to build up a sport healthcare system which satisfies with the requirement of the rapid development of sports and recreation industry. In this research the comparative cross-national methodology has been adopted to conduct a comparative analysis on sport healthcare system.In this research the basic values of sport is based on the recreation and self-development of human beings. However as its counterpart social value might be concerned with the economic and political values of sports. As one of essential social components, sports can be seen as a cultural code which maintained the variety of human gene and embody the advantages of human bodies. It is well accepted that sport injury can not be avoided based on the fundamental principles of sports. In the view of economics, sports injury will reduce the values of sports, inversely, it also will keep the values of sport. In this context it is essential to reduce the potentiality of sport injury and its negative effects.Based on three-period five-level model (primary prevention, second prevention, tertiary prevention), this research put forward a prevention of sports injury model. According to this model, this research aims to inspect the sport healthcare system in the context of several Western countries and make a deep analysis on the related factors which construct the healthcare system. Through the comparative analysis, this research discovered that several characteristics of values system contributes to constructing an open and organized sport healthcare system with a certain system function and enhance the system to conduct the specific social and economic values in the background of the Western countries, such as the respect for the individual, the protection of law for human rights.In the context of the sports in China, the government-owned sport healthcare system can not fulfill the needs of the new reform time, since this traditional system can not conduct the economic values and reduce the space of increasing professional knowledge and skills. In this context it is essential to implement the reforms which focus on building up a professional training system in order to make a better connection with the international sport healthcare system. Several results can be concluded in this research as the followings: it is essential that a value network of sport healthcare system should be set up in China, which should be supported by the professional license system, professional training system and development supporting system; It is also suggested that several reforms should be conducted, such as to cultivate the professional export based on the existed system, develop the current law system, to provide the specific policies for the professional organization and professional management major, to setup supporting network of hospitals which assists sport healthcare system, to set up the potential job position of the sport healthcare and so on.
