Research On The Industry Education Institution In Late Qing Dynasty

With the springing up of newly education and the development of agriculture, industry and business, the industry education institution in late Qing dynasty was consummated from a scattered and no-systemic individual regulation system to a systemic and offical one. Its forming mechanism had the endogenetic characteristic which was contacted with politics, economy and culture, and the ectogeneic characteristic which was contacted with the individual interest pursuance and the education developing law.The institution design was reasonable in a certain extent,but its effect was away from social expectation because of that the education notion transformation was in half way, the condition which was necessary to execute the institution was not sufficed, and the interval for the institution to develop completely was not abundant. The teaching quality was dissatisfactory, so the industry education was called drolly as "unemployed education".This thesis reviewed the industry education institution from tow dimensionality, one is threaded by the evolvement phases to clear up the process of its estation, molding, complementarity and adjusting. The other is threaded by the activity to analyse the fuctions actting on the practise such as criterion, restriction and direction.The first chapter analyse the industry education institution's forming background, mechanism and forming course by disparting the course in three phases: fore-systemic institution,no-systemic institution and systemic institution.The intention to analyse the fore-systemic institution is to look for the vocational and technic education composetion in ancient education. The intention to analyse the no-systemic institution is to investigate the background of the institution's gestation and forming. Finally, this thesis study concept body, goal body,tructure body,frame body,restriction mechanism and prompting mechanism of the the systemic institution by text analysis ,its.Human is the most pivotalest factor at the institution designing and executing.The second chapter talk about the person who fulfil the industry education institution. We can classify the person into two parts,one is the organizer who set up industry education schools,the other is those who take part in the teaching activity in the schools, such as theteachers ,students and supervisors.In the beginning of the industry education in the late Qing dynasty, the urgent affair is to set up some schools to take on the teaching task,so the organizer had a more important status and took on more important responsibilities than at the clam developing period.At the same time,this thesis try to analyse the industry education institution's forming mechanism from the flank of individual interest pursuance,so at this chapter,we review the activities and interest demand of some estates,colonies and department,to serve the judge that the industry education institution had the endogenesis charactertic. The objects to be analysed include the vicerogies and nomarchs who managed the education affairs,the esquires who wise and imburse the education affairs ,the businessmen who was in business as well as in the education, and the departments and parties, such as the Business Ministry, territorial chambers, companies, chamber of commerce, chamber of education,etc.Encircling the teaching organization, the third chapter review the teaching activities and effect of schools at every arrangement and belonging to every styles.The objects to be analysed are the argiculture schools,industry schools, business schools,railway schools,mine schools,and review the femel industry education synthetically.The contents to be reviewed are that the connection between the schools and reciprocal industry,the setting survey of each style schools ,basic scale,curriculum's characteristic,teaching effect and insufficiency.The actual effect of a education institution was reflected factually and concretely by the teaching quality,the schools are the basic cells of industry education,so the espial from the schools is the most dependable bases to estimate the education institution effect.Not as the third chapter ,the forth chapter is spreaded encircling the teaching to analyse the each factor one by one regulated by the industry education institution in late Qing dynasty,such as administrative management,financial management,teaching site and establishment,teachers and students,teaching content and form and effect,ect.The intentition to do so is that we can analyse what a condition is necessary for a institution to keep it run successfully by reviewing the above-mentioned factors,and we can make a judgment ulteriorly that the shortcoming of the basic condition is one important cause which limite the industry education institution's effect.The last part compared lengthways and breadthwise,and make judgements and differentiation on this base.By comparing to the liberal education and normal education,to analyse the proportion,effect and developing degree of the industryeducation in the entire education system. By comparing to the overseas homochronous vocational education,to detect the strongpoint and disadvantage.To sum up the contribution to the laterday education modernization at the aspects of cultivating persons,consummating education structure,establishing the new education base,leading the transforming of education concept ,and analyse the causes which conduce the restricted effect at hereinafter points: the substance bases,manpower bases, administrant status,social circurmstance,etc.
