Teacher's practical knowledge means the knowledge which the teacher cumulates and applies in the teaching practice after he or she discovers and apperceives the implications of practice and experience, combined his or her own life experience and personal meaning of experience by the ways of experiencing, pondering and comprehending in the daily practical teaching situation. It leads to the teacher's teaching behavior substantially as well as helps the teacher reconstruct the past experience and the future plan so as to grasp the present action. It reflects the requirement of the independence of the present teachers' professional development by paying attention to the existence of the practical knowledge that inheres in the teachers' professional fields.The research on the teacher's practical knowledge is the project that the researchers cooperate with the teachers to explore based on the daily teaching practice in an attempt to link up the theory and the practice. Founded on the systematical arrangement of the research results about the teacher's practical knowledge, the author went to the primary and secondary schools to observe and apprehend the daily teaching practical life in order to reflect the basic content, representational forms, sources and developing routes of the teacher's practical knowledge.This paper includes seven parts. In the introduction, the author sets the research entry point that is pay attention to the teachers' daily teaching practice.The Chapter One expatiates the problem domain and the methodology. Firstly, it analyzes the background, meanings and questions. Then, it discusses how to spread out the research process directed by the phenomenological pedagogy and qualitative research, and by the way of literature analysis, action research and narrative inquiry.The Chapter Two summarizes the domestic and overseas research situation of the teacher's practical knowledge. On the base of explaining the basic meaning of "practice" and "knowledge", it announces the connotation and the characters of the teacher's practical knowledge. This part also describes the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical base that the teacher's practical knowledge counts upon.The Chapter Three begins with the question that "which knowledge the teacher actually has".
