The management of graduate student affairs (MGSA) is an essential component of the management of graduate students and an important factor which contributes to the quality education of graduate students. The student affairs in this study include the students' daily affairs and their moral education. The thesis follows the research model of "the hypothesis, the analysis of the status quo, the clarification of the problems, and the solutions to the problems". Based on investigations, literature reviews and comparative studies, the thesis conducted a thorough, systematic and in-depth study on MGSA in the following five sections: the rationale of the management, a review of MGSA at universities, a study of the physical, mental developmental features of the graduate students in China, the status quo of the management and the existing problems, and their countermeasures. The first part of the thesis is the introduction. To begin with, it states the reasons why the study was conducted and the significance of the study. Then it describes the background of the study and does a literature review of the research both in China and abroad. And next definitions are given to such concepts as MGSA, moral education of graduate students, 3-aid to graduate students, guidance to employment, and student status management.
