Elementary schooling is the key period for individual's moralcharacter development. Seizing this period means seizing the generation.Many countries have offered special courses of moral character such ascitizen, morality, society, ideology and moral character, trying to makethe future citizens accept and convert into the view of value from powergroups' identification and develop corresponding behavior habit as soonas possible.The most important media for the courses of moral character ofelementary school is its textbook, which carries the essential informationfor pupils to nurture certain civics dharma, and which is also the legal textof the government, and which is the crucial tool to control the direction ofpupils' morality development.The main function of the morality textbook of the elementary schoolis to have students accept the main trend of value. The meaning of socialcontrol definition in this thesis is that social control power make studentsaccept and convert into the main trend of value and gradually developcorresponding behavior habit by the media of curriculum and instructionetc, and then make students fellow social process of keeping its order.Based on above definition, social control is basic clue of the thesis,whichconcentrates on two core problems—what the content and the form ofthe morality textbook of the elementary school reflect social control byanalysis of the concreted version and comprehensive utilization ofrelative research achievement in Sociology and Psychology andLinguistics etc.Centricity of the two core problems, the basic frame of the thesis,based on analysis of the social control implication of the moralitytextbook of the elementary school and some foreign textbook, is to probeinto the same hue of social control of its content and form. So theconception of the thesis is that not only there are dominance and recessive social control in the morality textbook of the elementary school, but alsothere are forward and non-forward existed, which government doesn'twant. The carrier of the main trend of culture that the morality textbookof the elementary school, and its core content is about citizen education.The form of it emphasizes its value and makes students accept itefficiently. It is not full form but tools. There are many sort of power torestrict the birth of the morality textbook of the elementary school.
