The Mode Evolution Of Attack And Defense Of Traditional Wushu And Its Modernization Development

The Attack and Defense of Traditional Wushu (ADTW) is a way of life, combined both inner and outer refinement, based on the theories of Chinese traditional culture, promoted by social and individual demand, with the acts of attack and defense as its contents, the training and practice as its mode. It is one of important parts of Chinese traditional culture, and a thick accumulation of thousand-long essence of attack and defense developed by Chinese people. During its historical evolution, the ADTW plays important roles in keeping the survival of human beings, their military and cultural lives, even the development of Chinese People as a whole. Yet, nowadays, the development of ADTW confronts great ordeals. Besides the social factors in peaceful time and PE multi-polarization, there exits its own ones. The thesis, starting from the construction of mode of ADTW, to the clues of characteristics of ADTW in the historical evolution, adopting documentary research, interviews and questionnaires, case analysis, logic analysis, systematic analysis etc. fixes the position of ADTW in its modernization orientation and proposes the developing strategies for ADTW mode modernization.The research shows: 1) Guided by thoughts and theories of ADTW, with exposition of the essence and developing trend of practical skills and training skills as its research object, the mode of ADTW is a collection of a serial forms of mind activities. It is a schema of the relations between the formation factors of ADTW and its relative changes, their basic factors being the structure of knowledge, technical mode, function system and social environment. The function system consists of core function, body function and derivation function. 2) the change and development of the mode of ADTW is obviously periodical, which divides into five periods as fledgling, developing, perfecting, determining and transforming. 3) the evolution of the mode of ADTW is performed and restricted by various promoting factors as a whole, among which the following six ones are listed ahead: the promotion of technical track, of changes of political systems, the pull of social and individual requirements, the inner demand of family inheritance mode, the assimilation of traditional culture and the promotion of scientific development. To define the inner and outer promoting factors. Chronologically, the promotion forces exert different function in different periods on the evolution of ADTW mode, sometimes co-functioning by several promotion forces on the same period. Among those promotion factors, the promotion of technical track tops the importance of all. 4) the modern development of ADTW may learn from Taekwondo, Judo and Thai Boxing: adopting education, popularization and sports competition as its development road, paying attention to the refinement of both arts and morality, exposing new and current contents, making use of IT as its propaganda media, to promote its development in modern times. 5) the modernization of ADTW is a natural and historical choice, its developing mode being sports competition, health and recreation, variety of sports in schools. On the basis of inheritance, it reforms and innovates some technical acts and modes of operation; On the basis of scientific rectification, it makes the mode of competition contents typical, its competition sorts varied; Guided by market strategies, it explores and expands its fields, promotes its industrialized competitiveness, establishes multi-level and complex promotion modes, pushes into international platforms.
