The higher education has run into a profound and substantial crisis, and inharmonious phenomena are often seen on the campus of colleges. Meanwhile, in our student group, the instructive resource of social support is on the decline, with its reserve lacking. In order to build a harmonious campus and a harmonious society, to fully display the colleges'educational capacity, and to train talents of high quality in a better way, we must broaden our view of higher education, attach importance to the living conditions and group life of college students, and pay attention to the order's harmony of student group. What's more essentially, we must focus on developing and broadening the instructive social-support resources in college student group. This thesis states that the key to solve this problem ultimately lies in discovering the genetic mechanism of social support in college student group, and in restructuring a student group structure which makes the social-support resources expansible. For this reason, the theme of this thesis is to analyze the genetics mechanism of social support in college student body as well as expansible one.By analyzing the basic notion, and attribute of social support in college student group, this thesis delimits the concrete analytical units of this research. In this thesis, the social support in college student group means material, mental and daily care, support or help received by the students from college student group or from other students. In different contexts, its meaning can be nominal or verbal, and it possesses four kinds of definitions. On this basis and together with the statistics, this thesis states that the overall current social support in college student group is on a medium level. However, measured by the standard of building a harmonious order in student group, it is not satisfactory, even disappointing. From a diachronic viewpoint, the level is on the decline. Finally, this thesis reveals that the students themselves are not active in seeking support, especially in seeking collegial institutional social support. So Chapter2 mainly talks about the social support in college student group from actual situations.Social action is the basic concept of logical analysis. This thesis considers social support in college student group as a basic social action and then analyzes its functional mechanism and tries to find its genetic method and expansible structure. Based on a combined research of theoretical feasibility and experimental reality, this thesis brings up the genetic mechanism of social support in college student group: certain social action comes from certain rules. Cooperative rule is the cultural background of cooperative action within a group. As a kind of cooperative action beneficial to social interests, social support has four basic rules: morally altruism, family love and service for others, reciprocally benefit, custom and mutual help in action. Thus social support also falls into the same four categories. Among them, the first two rules of action are prevailing in current social-support action for students; the other two rules have undergone subtle changes with changes of society.Furthermore, this thesis continues to adopt the"feasibility--reality"idea to reveal the expansible mechanism of social support in college student group. It argues that the cooperative order within college student group is a group state formed by the students in their intimate interactions while abiding by certain rules of action. That is to say, if there is a cooperative atmosphere within the group, and the members'action are proper and restrained, it will be more willing and easier for them to cooperate and help each other. A lot of statistics show that whether in terms of the overall significance, or the specific concrete aspects, social support are highly relevant to the cooperative order of college student group. So Chapter 4 confirms that cooperative order of college student group is exactly the expansible construction of social support.This thesis aims at current problems in social support in college student group, analyzes its fundamental genetics, and further probes into its expansible mechanism. The purpose is to solve the resource dilemma of social support in college student group, in hopes of cultivating this positive educational resource in college student group and expanding it persistently, which will provide us with a constructive idea to achieve the goals of higher education and to build a harmonious socialist society. Therefore, this thesis finally offers several advices: first, from the viewpoint of innovation in higher education notions, our higher education as well as colleges must put human beings first and pay much attention to the living conditions of college students; second, the new ideas of college education should put emphasis on constructive power of cooperative social rules including moral standards, in order to make the students associate eagerly with their peers and introspect deeply in the process; finally, this thesis points out that the guiding functions of formal institutions should be brought into full play in order to encourage and lead the informal group activities of college students to develop in an orderly way.
