Cognitive Diagnosis(CD),Automated Item Generation(AIG) and Computerized Adaptive Test(CAT) are the developing region in modern psychology measurement.How to integrate them is an important topic looking forward to explore.With the developing of CD,the rules and process of interior psychology behavior are more learned.And the developed state of individual can be diagnosed which can help to promote individual's health.But all of them are fulfilled with a measurement tool,which is called cognitive diagnosis test,the quality of it restricts the effective and correctness of CD.Traditional exam is a paper & pencil exam,and all the examinees are required to do the same test items.The weakness of this kind of exam is that it can not realize the adaptive target that different individual do different exam and every individual is tested according to his ability,it can not assess the examinees effectively and control the error of measurement,and it's efficiency is low relatively.To solve these problems,the CAT is proposed which now is applied to many international large-scale testing,such as TOFEL,GRE.So it's very significant to integrate the CAT skills into CD(called CD_CAT):First,it can adaptively diagnose with computer.Second,it can control the error of measurement of each examinee effectively and guarantee the correctness and efficiency of CD.CAT is based on item bank.Traditionally all items in bank is generated by experts,all items must be pre-tested and equating.Which demands a great deal of manpower,material and financial resources,and the period is long.With the developing of the psychology measurement skills,a new method of item generation, Computerized and AIG,is advanced which overcomes the weakness of traditional method.The method tries to generate items with computer under some requirements, the characteristic of items is calibrated on the cognitive or item model that does not demand testing and equating.Thus the method is a good way to save manpower, material and financial resources,its practicability is evident.Above all,the integration of CAT,AIG and CD makes the CD and modern test theory advanced, and it also helps modern psychology measurement theory to be more applicable.This paper tried to integrate the skills of CAT and AIG into the CD on preliminary children's math problem solving,and compiled an CAT system of CD on preliminary children's math problem solving with AIG(ICC system) that can realize the CD effectively,quickly and correctively and can advance the service levels of children's relative cognitive developing and the knowledge acquisition.To do this,this paper holds four study and three sub-systems.The purpose of study 1 is to recognize the cognitive elements or model of preliminary children's math problem solving that is the psychology support for ICC system.The purposes of study 2 to 4 are to compile the three important sub-systems of ICC system,the testing sub-system of CD on preliminary children's math problem solving(study 2), the AIG sub-system of CD test on preliminary children's math problem solving(study 3),and the CAT sub-system of CD test on preliminary children's math problem solving with AIG(study 4).This paper also discussed the key skills and arithmetic in each sub-system.The research indicated:(1) The complexity of math relation and verbalism are the main cognitive elements affect preliminary children's math problem solving(R~2=0.778,p<0.01).(2) The consequences of CD for 852 children illustrated:First,children's mastery of 7 key attributes on the problem solving of subtraction and addition is goodish in total.But there exists significant DIFFERENCE effect between different grades and cities for attribute 4 and attribute 6.(The mastery level for the higher grade is greater than the lower grade,and cities are better than villages.) The mastery of 7 attributes for children from the schools in village is not idealistic, percent 67.68%of them exist cognitive error,percent 50%of them can't master the attribute 4 that's a remarkable problem.Second,the cognitive error of children can be categorized into three types,all of them are related to attribute 4 and attribute 6.The number of cognitive errors of children from lower grade is greater than children from higher grade,and children from city is greater than children from village.Third,problem model strategy and direct translation strategy are the main strategies of mathematic mental representation,especially the former.The application of different strategies exists significant difference effect,more students use problem model strategy in higher grade and cities than lower grade and countries,but fewer students use direct translation strategy corresponding.That most of the students from country schools apply direct translation strategy is the main cause that the students solve these problem poorly in whole.(3) The skills and arithmetic of AIG integrated into CD test is applicable,and the effect of AIG sub-system is goodish.(4) In CAT sub-system,selection strategies for initial items and CAT selection strategies will affect the correctness of diagnosis.In this paper,the new method, T-matrix method,is better than traditional selection strategies for initial items.To five CAT selection strategies,SL_GDI strategy is the best.The pair of T-matrix method and SL_GDI strategy is the best among 10 pairs,and the pattern correctness rate of classifier is 83.2%for seven independent cognitive attributes.(5) The measurement ICC system holds good test-retest reliability and validity.
