Pursuit of beauty is the nature of human beings. In this world, there are no other things which are even more lovable, intoxicating and charming than beauty. Facing beauty, people "can see people's own nature strength, wisdom and talent, realization of the purpose and ideals, and can feel tremendous joy from free creation." More than 200 years ago, the esthetician Schiller firstly proposed the concept of aesthetic education, and from than on, "beauty" begins to exist as the best form for people education.There are rich aesthetic factors in sports so that sports can bring enjoyment of beauty for people. However, study finds that there is obviously missing of"beauty"in contemporary physical education. Traditional sports education bases on the cognitive theory which takes the physical education process as certain and closed system. The teaching process must be arranged according to sequence, and there should not be mutation, bifurcation, chance or error occurring during the process. Systemization is needed both by content and form which shows the exclusion for chance, individuality, authenticity and discrete in the life of the world. Little consideration is given to the needs of students in the arrangement of education content, but only following the transfer logic of knowledge. In such a mechanical, repetitive, closed and rigid educational system, there is no speaking of individual differences. Different ideas and innovated opinions of students are considered wrong or vexatious, and are even ignored, denied, and reprimanded. Emphasizing the uniformity of teaching process, and all the educational efforts are in order to make the original people in different level reach the same ending point. Beauty in physical education seems to be pulled out, and replaced by a kind of mechanical imitation and practice. Students would certainly not like sports like this, since there is no life involved in teaching and learning process. So we should enrich the diversity, affective and participatory of sports and give the enjoyment of sports back to students.Based on the research results of aesthetics and aesthetic education, and combined with China's current status of physical education reform, this paper advocates the establishment of a concept of physical aesthetic education. Concept of physical aesthetic education is a kind of pluralistic, integrated, comprehensive and development concept. It emphasizes that during the physical education process, let students experience the fun of sports through learning and experiencing the beauty of sports. Improve the motivation of students to participate in sports, promote the harmonious development of students in physics and mind, establish the concept of life-long physical sports and life-long fitness, develop the habits of physical exercising, and finally take the promotion of students'comprehensive, free and harmonious development as the ultimate pursuit. Full-text is divided into five parts.Part I: Introduction. Give research questions for aesthetic education of sports and put forward the theoretical and practical significance of this article. On the basis of synthesis of the relevant theory and research, present the innovative point of this article.Part II: Reflection on China's contemporary aesthetic sports education. Through theoretical reflection, this paper sums up the different stages of modern school physical education, summarizes and sorts out the evolution process of the concept of physical education. China experiences the process of the initial national army sports concept, naturalistic view of sports, sports technology physical education concept, concept of physical education, happiness concept of physical education, and health first view of physical education. All these have followed the development of the time, and make continuously progress. Each sports concept has emphasized the side of study and practice in teaching and learning process, but it seems to overlook the education for students to learn value judgments and perceptual knowledge, which results in some problems in current physical education. And through the analysis of theories, we find that there is a phenomenon that lack of beauty in educational purposes, away from beauty in educational content, oblivion of beauty in educational process, and abandon of beauty in educational value in the practice of physical education. We think the main sources resulting in the problems in physical education are the following aspects: First: shackles of the aims of education theory and epistemology. Second: imprisonment of the traditional educational concept and the theory of human nature. Third: educational alienation in the process of culture inherits. Fourth: discipline in the institutionalized education. The author believes that we should bring beauty into the physical education, and come up with a concept of physical aesthetic education combined with sports and aesthetic. So that we can from a new perspective to lead students to perceive and appreciate all kinds of physical class phenomena with the aesthetic vision, and then come to the evaluation of beauty, and finally enable students to understand the beauty of sports, love sports from deep of heart, and join the sports in the end.Part III: Theory interpretation of concept of physical aesthetic education. This part theoretically analyze the basic concepts of beauty, aesthetics and aesthetic education, as well as the relationship between the physical and aesthetic education from the point of view of philosophy, aesthetic, and pedagogy. We think that sports beauty is rooted in the power system which takes the actual material activities of human tools making and using as intermediary, is the detachment made by human practical power, and is the sensible structure established in the process of human historical practice. The essence of physical beauty is the direct show of the human natural power upon itself, is its own "re-presentation" and "confirmation" of the essence of man power. Sports beauty has the features of imagery, infectious; agreeableness and free creation.Part IV: Concept of physical aesthetic education. This part elaborates respectively the nature, purposes, value and function of the aesthetic education. Physical aesthetic education makes students experience the fun of sports during physical education through cultivating students'knowledge of beauty in sports. It can promote the motivation of students participating sports, advance the harmonious development of students'body and mind, set the concept of lifetime sports, form the habits of sports practice, and finally realize the purpose of physical education"mind-body casting". The value of physical aesthetic education is to inspire the innocence and kindness of students. Physical teachers follow the aesthetic disciplines and students'cognitive regular patterns to enrich the aesthetic factors in class and educational activities through colorful sports pattern and all kinds of practical means. So that we can let students feel the beauty in sports (including senses of elegance, sublime, admiration, pleasure and other feelings) and improve their sense of aesthetic. We should also make the aesthetic become the basic knowledge and ability for students to let them acquire the basic sports skill and knowledge during the sense of beauty. Teachers should create and use aesthetic factors in sports positively to cultivate students to form correct world value and sentiment, develop their well social adaptability and their personality perfection. Physical aesthetic education puts students'all-round development as its extreme goal and guarantees the functional practice of the concept of physical aesthetic education through the double-way process of nature humanization and human naturalization.Part V: Implementation strategy of concept of Physical aesthetic education. This section presents that the implementation of the concept of physical aesthetic education should form a system, and gives seven kinds of specific implementation strategies: First, enhance the aesthetic cultivation of physical education teachers; second: excavate the aesthetic factors of physical educational content; third: improve students'aesthetic learning ability; fourth: promote art of physical education process; fifth: beautify teaching methods in physical education; six: increase students'physical aesthetic ability; seventh: create sports aesthetic field.
