Since 2001,our country has begun the curriculum reformation of science education for improving the citizen's scientific literacy .According to the value and character of curriculum ,it has been paid more attention on the nature and value of science ,the interaction of science and society life .However ,the shortage from educators'view on nature of science ,which is very important for practice, resulted in the target deviation during the process of the curriculum implementation .To change the situation ,one of the root methods is to improve the amalgamation of philosophy of science and science education, to bring philosophy of science into system of content and methodology of science education .And it will be a magnificent promoting agent ,not only for promoting students'understanding on authentic science ,but also for improving teachers'ability on bringing new curriculum into effect ,and for deepening the study of science education as well.Firstly , this paper combs out the theory and practice of integrating philosophy of science with science education from two main field .One is the theory and practice of HPS (history and philosophy of science) education which applies itself to combining the views from philosophy of science into the contend of science education. And the other is the discussions on inquiry instruction and conceptual change teaching which are guided with philosophy of science.Secondly, Based on summarization of the literature, this paper analyses the value and mechanism about philosophy of science in science education . It can be concluded as the following statements:·The value of philosophy of science in science education is considered as two dimensions .On one hand ,philosophy as contents has the ontological value;on the other hand , philosophy as guidance theory has the implemental value .In science education ,both of the roles which philosophy of science plays in depend on each other ,and have the same teaching target which is"make students learn authentic science".·As teaching contents ,philosophy of science should present for students the all-around and developmental view of science ,which can make students learn the authentic scientific knowledge, authentic scientific process and authentic scientific notion;realize the rich diversity of scientific activity in all aspects such as personal science and public science etc and the rich diversity of scientific discovery in aspects of empiricism ,rationalism and social psychology;comprehend the expansibility of scientific knowledge , scientific process and the views of science ; at the same time, comprehend the creativity and criticism of science based on it's expansibility.·The instruction of philosophy of science concentrates on the guidance and effect on teaching ideas, decision-making and behaviors .These three aspects are not only related to each other but also interact . Practice is the source of teaching ideas .The analysis and introspection of teaching practice can contribute to shaping teaching ideas indeed .Therefore ,it will be more important and significant in both theories and practice to discuss how to optimize science teaching strategy which aims at authentic science from the practice dimension with philosophy of science.Based on the theory analysis ,this paper mentions the foundational directions of optimization and discussions on teaching strategy:·Firstly ,according to factors of the teaching board ,it argues the strategy of choosing teaching contents that educators should present interactive, developmental, comprehensive, scientific contents instead of isolated, static, unilateral ones under the guidance of philosophy of science;it also contains strategy of introducing ,organizing ,instructing and managing the study activities;the it discusses some general strategy of activating an authentic science environment via forming the learning community and science management.·Secondly, considered the concrete knowledge contents as to the start ,this paper discusses respectively the presenting strategy of how to give students the authentic scientific knowledge based on the noumenon understanding of scientific facts, scientific concept and scientific theory;it also analyses the choosing strategy of the foundational views of science held by different knowledge modality;according to the process of making different kinds of scientific knowledge ,the paper talks about the optimizing strategy of how to make students experience authentic science process in class activities .In attempting to optimize the teaching strategy with guidance of philosophy of science ,it is prospected to construct an authentic science class and promote students'learning of authentic science.
