The difficulties in designing a complex project product result not only from the complexity of technique, but also from the complexity of management. Because of increasing scale and complexity of projects, to shorten product development cycle faces great pressure. Some researches have shown that the improvement of product development process can help to improve the quality of products and promote competitive level of the enterprises. Under the support of NSFC, this thesis makes a systemized research on the management method of designing process based on DSM(Design Structure Matrix), by using Fuzzy technology, optimised technology, simulation method and product development technology. The author has made deep researches on constructing product development modelling, clustering and decomposing task, and simulating activities process and so on, and has achieved some results, which have enriched the technology of designing process management.Based on the researches in the past, the thesis proposes the steps of constructing DSM and the method of integrating models, which make designers enable to integrate all DSM established from different views and understand products design structure on the whole. Futher more, it discusses some related operation of DSM(partition of DSM, identifying loop and banding DSM and so on )and proposes a new ranking method of DSM based on reversing partition.The concept of coordinating costs of design activities is proposed. Based on the concept, the author constructs 0-1 optimization model of DSM, which is used to solve problems of decomposing DSM under all kinds of constraints flexibly. A genetic arithmetic (GA) is also applied to cluster DSM, and genetic operator is designed to cluster elements of DSM. The method can handle the problem which can not resolved by reachability matrix method . It becomes possible to reduce the number of iteration while to shorten the iteration scope by using task feedback coefficient the author proposes and the research extends application area of DSM.The thesis also proposes a method, which consider synthetically the range and interaction intensity of feedback between tasks.A dependent coefficient is proposed to evaluate the effects that the distance of task feedbacks and interaction intensity of feedbacks. Some decouple principles are put forward and arithmetic is operated., Beside of this, this thesis discusses the decouple principles and designs relevant arithmetic to solve the decision-making problem.Based on concerning about the task cycle, and task repetition and study curve, this thesis also researches the simulation method of DSM and Monte-Carlo simulation code based on EXCEL VBA is programed. Then it researches and establishes model based on variable probability and carries out relevent analyses through simulating two couple task, and discusses its effect cause.The author has also made an exploratory research on integrating DSM into other technologies that include QFD, axiom design and iterative design. As soon as DSM is integrated with QFD, a compound matrix is formed and it ensures to transfer information more efficiently. When DSM is integrated with axiom design, engineers can identify model more roundly. These integrations not only expand related technology, but make design management more efficiently.Based on these achievements, the author designs software to model DSM and to operate DSM. A simply user interface is designed to enable the engineers using it conveniently. Partial technology and iterative designing method of DSM have been applied to practice . A new development process which integrates DSM into CPM has been made in practise ,and they have been proved to be helpful in improving the quality of products designing and controlling the process of products development...
