Research On Text Steganography

With the fast growing and wide spreading of computer and communication network, text data still hold an important position in people'daily life even under the proliferation of picture, audio and video data. In addition to traditional paper media, digital copies of periodical, paper, book and literature improves people'reading behavior. Digital media are facile to be alterated and spread. Large quantities of text data carried by Emails, mobile SMSs and web pages also provide numerous carriers for concealing. To protect the IP such as technique documents and program source codes, information hiding techniques are required to be more demanding. The text information hiding researched in this dissertation is the kind of technique which utilizes text as cover carrier. This dissertation emphasises on the steganography.The difficulties of text steganography lie in: â‘ The redundancy of the text cover is generally few especially for pure text. Thus the hiding approach is few and the embedding capability is low; â‘¡The parameters of text cover are sensitive to the alteration or noise. It is difficult to realize a hiding system which is of high robustness; â‘¢The present natural processing technique is not of maturity, lacking of practical methods to understand, transform and generate text content. â‘£The research on Chinese text steganography is still at initial stage and is not of systematism.The main work of this dissertation includes the following seven aspects regarding text steganography:1.
