| An TV news channel is the professional TV channel that broadcasts 24-hour news programs every day and is possessed of news attribute. This channel's emergence has completely changed the basic ideas and operation mode of TV news broadcasting, since the foundation of CNN in 1980 as the first TV news channel around the world, It has been 26 years ,new channels have spreaded from the United States and other developed countries to developing countries ,and have gradualy become the basic mode of modern TV news broadcasting. CCTV-news launched in 2003 , marking that the Chinese mainland has its own national news channels and achieved a historic leap in China's TV news broadcasting.A news channel does not just mean the revolutionary changes in the basic philosophy and operation mode of news broadcasting ,and its impacts more often than not go beyond news broadcasting itself, which is emboded at the more broad and deep levels of political,economic ,cultural and social life and international communication.Therefore,building and managing a good national TV news channel is of significant importance.Through three years of practice and development ,CCTV-news accumulated a certain amount of experience, gradually become mature,and its impacts on the community is increasingly obvious. However, the CCTV-news has many deficiencies, and it has not yet been completed the transformation from the traditional news mode to channel one .The experience of CCTV-news needs to sum up and upgrade, and the bottleneck problems that it encountered in the coure of practice need to break through. But considering the existing research, although the articles concerned are many, generally speaking,they are very fragmented. By far,there has still not been comprehensive,systematic,theoretical and forward-looking research on TV News channel .Without doubt,this is a pity.The main purpose of this dissertation is the targeted and systematic study of China's TV News Broadcasting Under the Framework of Channels taking the CCTV-news as an example . Through the case studies of TV news channels and summary , integration of the existing fragmented research,this paper attempts to explore and explain the operation laws of TV news channels ,and to rich and develop the modern theory of TV news broadcasting CCTV-news .At the same time, suggesting the new ideas and perspectives for Reform of China's TV News ,and offering the strategic suggestions for further development of CCTV-news are alsoamong objectives of the dissertation.The traditional news programs were broadcasted within fixed hours and through fixed columns ,so the broadcasting has distinctive features of columns. The modern Tv news broadcasting has more channel features. How to make full use of the unique advantages of the news channel so as to optimize the effects of TV news broadcasting is the core problem that the dissertation needs to solve. This dissertation believes that for the good TV News Broadcasting Under the Framework of Channels, channel transformation has to be completed at the three levels of basic ideas,management systems and specific operation ,that is to say , set up an idea system for the modern TV news broadcasting ,the news management systems ,and the system of the editting , arrangement innovation and operation of news programs ,with these three systems all adaptive to channel framework.Based on these ,the dissertation focuses mainly on the three dimensions of the ideas , systems and operations of news channels . At the idea level ,the paper mainly studies such issues as the basic ideas and social influence construction of news channels ,and so on ;At the system level, the paper mainly studies such issues as the management system of news channels and its model reform, and as the relation between the CCTV-news and the situation of China TV news broadcasting ,and so on .At the operation level, the paper mainly studies the specific operations of TV news channels , including the broadcasting strategies of TV channel ,the contents , forms , editing , arrangement and packaging of TV channel programs, and so on. Speaking roughly , it could be said that The idea level study about amounts to the macro analysis of news channels,the system level to the analysis between the macro and micro level ,and the operation level to micro analysis .Throughout the whole course of the study, the dissertation takes the CCTV-news as an example. At the same time , the paper makes a comparative study through the proper reference to A number of well-known foreign news channels, such as CNN, BBC World, Phoenix Satellite TV, IT and so on.Specifically, the main content and views in this paper are as follows:Chapter â… is on the review of rise and development of the news channels,and on the overall scanning of the CCTV-news practice over the recent three years. The paper argues that news channels experienced and are experienceing three phases including rise , prosperity ,and the social informatization .channel specialization , globalchannel competition and technological progress are the inherent causes of rapid development of news channels . News channels have brought the unprecedented challenges and opportunities for TV news broadcasting. On the one hand, the channel framework has enormously expanded the space of TV news broadcasting, on the other hand,the transition from the traditional model to the channel one has encountered many obstacles such as of ideas and systems. After more than three years of operation of the CCTV-news, its overall framework has basically been mature , but the basic ideas, management system, operation mode and other aspects need to accelerate the transition from the traditional model to the channel one.Chapter â…¡ and â…¢ are on the study of news channels at the macro level. The issue of building the fundamental ideas system of CCTV-news is mainly discussed in Chapter â…¡ . The paper argues that news channels extremely improves the timeliness ,effectiveness and spot feature of TV news,and increases the horizon and depth of TV news contents. CCTV-news should establish such core ideas as timeliness, effectiveness , spot feature, and depth of news,and build the idea system that is based on the fundamental ideas such as news-based, Channel awareness , audience -centered and the global horizon. The viewpoint that CCTV-news can distinguish functions (distinguish propaganda function from news one) to highlight information-based approach, the channelawareness and global vision particularly need to be strengthened ,is put forward in the paper.Chapter â…£ and â…¤ are mainly on analysis of CCTV-news at the level between macro and micro .Chapter â…¤ examines what kind of management system should be set up and adopted by CCTV-news .It argues that the centre instituition of centre -depatment -group -column is the system obstacle to news channel 'actualization of its basic ideas,and we should establish ,at the level of the whole TV station ,the big editing department institution in which news channel is the core by means of combining the implement of channel institution reform of cctv and with reference to CNN and the BBC management system. The paper tentatively offers the specific project of building the big editing department institution as well as proposes the core competence issue of news channels,arguing that the core competence is the ability to collect and process news,and that cctv news must be prepared well for the major feature transmit of channel from broadcasting to news collecting andprocessing while the big editing department institution is the basis of improving the channel collecting and processing ability.Chapter â…¤ focuses on the impacts of CCTV-news on news broadcasting situation in China. The paper argues that CCTV's news that the news channel is still not able to counterforeign counterparts ,but the operation mode of news channel has exerted great stress on the domestic local TV station. CCTV-news will worsen the monoply competition and limited cooperation owning to its unique position and the advantage of news resources. The news competition nature of CCTV-news with Phoenix TV, Oriental TV is hard ,and the nature of it with domestic locat TV Station is soft.Chapter â…¥ deals with the analysis of CCTV-news at the relative micro-level ,and it focus on the exploration of the broadcasting strategies and detailed operation of the news channel. Concerning communication strategies, this paper argues that on one hand , CCTV-newsl should adopt common strategy in pursuit of objectiveness ,justness,accuracy and communication speed, depth and width of news.on the other hand , it should pay more attention on employment of individualized communication strategies. namely exploitting news resources and unique position of news channel to adopt monopolized and large scale transimission strategy; At the same time, strengthening band construction of news channel. Chapter â…¦ deals with specific operation, news channel should concentrate on content ,form ,editting and arrangement innovation of programs ,as well as the living news broadcasting. Through quantitative analysis, the paper argues that CCTV-news has made a great progress in capacity and expression way of news. However, it still has much deficiency ,such as insufficient news feature ,many but not refined news column,a lack of integrated program editting and arrangement , its excessive duplication of cctv-1 programs, the difficulty of building its own unique style,a lack of profound interpretation and review column dealing with the present news and inadequent use of the news living broadcasting. Addressing these deficiencies ,the paper has put forward specific recommendations for improvement.The paper concludes with the summarization of main content and viewpoints. It argues that the spiritual essence of the news channel is to promote and enhance thenews communication through channel operation. The overall-transformation to channel is the indispensable road to the modern mode from traditional mode both of TV news broadcasting. The tansformation embodies at three levels of basic philosophies .management system and specfic operation. In terms of these three aspects, CCTV-news has still not completed the transformation process . It needs to practically step by step build and perfect idea system .management system and specific operation mode which are all adaptive to channel framework, so as to raise the overall level of Chinese TV news broadcasting with its unique position. |
