Information Technology/Information Systems (IT/IS) is providing the new challenge and opportunity for business, and the more requirements are also arising in the conjunction between technology and organizational management practice. Though IT has been expressing the huge positive potential for organizational efficiency and performance, the potential's fulfill depends on the actual IT use.Many literatures have reported the IT adoption with positive results. In fact, IT adoption has not made obvious progress, even negative effects of it were advanced by some research. So the appropriate IT adoption research is very important for the business development. In IT adoption research, organizational psychological activity & behavior and the corresponding influencing factors study is the main parts.This research focuses on the difference between these key factors which affects the adoption behavior of different adoption phase. The main contributions are:(1) Once IT adoption research often concentrates on the individual technology acceptance behavior, little was discussed on organizational level. This research tends to resolve this problem based on Adaptive Structural Theory and Innovation Diffusion Theory. The findings demonstrate the theory base's appropriation and provide effective supplementary to IT adoption on organizational level.(2) This research divides the organizational IT adoption behavior into adoption decision behavior of pre-adoption and actual use behavior of post-adoption, which can provide the through analysis for IT adoption at organizational level.(3) AST was used to evaluate the interaction between technology and social system. After analyzing factors from technology structure, organizational endogenous structure and exogenous structure, this research advance the conception model of key factors on Organizational IT adoption behavior. Large scaled questionnaire was carried out to test the model.(4) The findings show:A Factors on IT adoption intention of pre-adoption phase 1 The direct significant factors included: IT demanding priority, resource slack, top management support, compatibility, relative advantage, bandwagon pressure andvisibility.2 The indirect significant factor included: IT knowledge stock.3 The insignificant factors included: complexity, trial ability and IT adoption ability.B Factors on IT actual use of post-adoption phase1 The direct significant factors included: Top management support, relative advantage, IT absorbability, compatibility, competitive pressure.2 The indirect significant factor included: technology training, IT knowledge stock, resource slack and IT project risk-controlling ability.3 The insignificant factors included: visibility, complexity, bandwagon pressure, IT demanding priority and communication environment.From the findings, we can conclude than the relative advantage and compatibility, top management support and competitive pressure are the lasting significant factors no matter on pre or post adoption. Relative advantage and compatibility's effect on post-adoption are more significant than pre-adoption. The top management support and competitive pressure's effect on pre-adoption are more significant than post-adoption.The whole findings contribute organization in knowing the environment clearly, learning the rule of adoption behavior, making the appropriate adoption decision, adjusting and using the IT smoothly.
