A Research On Reverse Logistics Development In China

People have put emphasize on forward logistics for a long time, neglect theeffect of reverse logistics. In this paper, some theories are used in studying the reverselogistics, such as game theory, OR, information economics, welfare economics etc.basing on the other researchers' theory and practices, some study is developed in theparticipating entities, network construction, operation management modes, indexsystem in reverse logistics performance evaluation, motivation mechanism of thegovernment, supervision mechanism and self-discipline mechanism of the enterprises.First of all, the definition of reverse logistics is given from the view of themacrocosm, the origin of its development is indicated, the affected factors aresummarized, the relations between the participating entities are analyzed. And thedevelopment of reverse logistics should depend on the government, the enterprisesand the social.Then, from the point of the enterprises, analyzing the benefits of reverse logisticsdevelopment, building up a network model, and the goal is the minimum cost in thesystem. The circumstance cost caused by transportation and process is taken intoconsideration, the solution of it is adopted by software LINGO8.0. According to thecharacteristics of various enterprises, three types of operation management modes aregiven, that is enterprise alliance of industry organization mode, self-operation modeand third party reverse logistics mode. And the advantages and disadvantages as wellas their applying area are analyzed and compared.In the end, in order to bring the reverse logistics into effect, the governmentshould establish efficient motivation mechanism, apart from the complete regulation.Analyzing the lower tax policy is a sufficient means to stimulate the enterprises to extend their responsibility for products and assume their social duty, meanwhile, itshould also depend on the supervision by the government and social, as well as theenterprises self-discipline.In conclusion, reverse logisics is studied systemically by the use of variousmethods, and it is analyzed from the view of macrocosm and microcosm. Somesuggestions are put forward on the development of reverse logistics in our country.
